I just had to write and tell you how much I loved this story, and how wonderful to meet one of the Eagles properly at last. Loved it when Meneldor laughed - nice to realise that they can. Hobbits seem to amuse everyone. How typical of our favourite Took to be so excited about flying - nothing dampens Pip's spirits for long and he's keen to try new things, even if poor Merry did suffer from vertigo! Author Reply: Thank you! I think that even Eagles would have a sense of humor :) I'm glad you like how the hobbits reacted to the flying, I wanted to show Pippin as confident and looking after Merry for a change. Anyway, I'm so happy you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for commenting :D

I just love the Eagles and I was so glad to find that someone had written a story that involved one of them. This is wonderful. I also enjoyed Gandalf very much in this one. I am always glad to find that you have a new story posted because I always enjoy your tales. This is another lovely one! Author Reply: Thanks very much, GW! What a nice review! :) I'm so glad that you enjoyed Gandalf here, I always love writing him. I've grown fond of the Eagles as well, and it was great fun writing Meneldor here. I'm glad you like how he turned out :)

Oh how wonderful! For Pippin and Merry to get a chance to fly with an eagle is just marvelous, and all your details made it seem very plausible. I loved all the little touches you gave it. Thanks for sharing such a sweet story! Author Reply: Thanks very much! I'm so happy that you liked it! :) Marigold demanded that Merry and Pippin ride on an Eagle. I figured that there needed to be some really big reason why they would be allowed to do so, and the only reason I could think of was if the Ringbearer's life depended on it. I'm glad you thought it was plausible! I was a little nervous about the concept, so that's certainly a relief :D

I thought this was great. But you aren't going to stop there are you? I want to know about that mysterious note. I also want to thank Marigold that you stopped lurking and found your voice as an author. I always enjoy your stories. I, too, lurked for a long time before I plucked up courage to become a reviewer. The kind, and prompt, responses I keep getting from you, the authors, keeps me reviewing and offering more detailed thoughts. Some sort of cyclic logic to that! Anyway keep it up :) I review, not write but one of Shirebound's plot bunnies is eating me out of house and home so who knows! Author Reply: Wow, thank you very much! I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! This story is finished, but as for the note I guess I'll have to write something else eventually explaining it! :D I agree, it is cyclical! Getting comments from readers is so wonderfully encouraging, and has helped me gain a little confidence. I still get nervous whenever I post something, and as soon as I see a comment I feel so much better! :) Shirebound always has some really interesting plot bunnies, although they are very persistent! I think you should definitely write that fic :)
