Oh man, I knew that would happen, just not like that! Talk about scary. Orc blood is still alive in M-e! Don't let Logi breed, or is it too late for that? Author Reply: oh, Orc blood is still alive, indeed. And reading the news some days, I'm pretty sure he did breed. jo

Uh! I'm sorry that it took me so long to read this, I've been out of own for some time.. Man! I'm impresed. Of course I'm still shocked by how Logi confronted the situation with Haldar. I'm sure that, above any other thing, this shall eat up at him for as long as he lives and wherever their souls go after death. His reasoning, though was cool and he was compassionate in the end, killing him with the sword, but, such a horrible death for poor, kind and loyal Shinning One. I hope he'll find it in him to understand and forgive Logi! You managed to portray a very believable "cul-de-sac" for Logi, even if it was of his own making in the very beginning... Logi's rendition of frodo's quest was very interseting at many levels. I guess that canohando tried to do his best to tie him short, but the fact that he had not learnt to understand the deepest meaning of it all, and what Frodo had meant for his grandfther and his people must have been crucial. In the end, not even the oath in the river seemed to restrain him and he was ready to betray and fight his own people if that was what he had to do to obtain the girl... I suppose this is going to be a terribly doomed "hero" to say something, but, let me tell you, I kind understand him, and even pity him, in a way I neer felt towards Turin Turambar, for instance. This poor oc is actually doomed deep in his own nature and wahtever grace and hope comes out of this story shall be greater because of wh and what he is, I think.. Such a good job jo, and doubly beause I'm treated to a double chapter!! :-) Thanks! Author Reply: What a wonderful review - thank you! Yeah, you really "get" Logi, I think - I started out to write him as pretty much a stock villain, but he wouldn't stay cardboard - he's very much a tragic character. Thanks, perelleth! jo

Umm, yes well that was both inevitable, I think, and quite the most horrific thing I have read for a day or so. Well done. So hard to write the hard stuff. Much tragedy and war will follow that rending, I hie me to the next chapter with the hope of some resolution. Takes a deep breath Rose Author Reply: Yeah, it was pretty horrific to write, and yet it's central to the whole tale. But there's still a long road a-winding... jo

And so darkness falls…how horrible and tragic, and yet inevitable. This will haunt Logi till the end of his days. And what will his bride think of him now that he has killed the Shining One? On a lighter note, I did think Logi’s summary of Frodo’s quest was pretty funny… Author Reply: Yes, Logi has destroyed his own happiness now. I'm glad you enjoyed his take on the Quest! jo

How terrible and ignoble you have made Logi. Will we ever be able to forgive him? Somehow I'm sure there will be redemption, but what a price. I'm sure too that the story is safe in your skilled hands. :-) Calime Author Reply: Whether we will be able to forgive him is one question - whether he'll ever forgive himself - hmmm...
