Wow, was my first reaction to this story. I got stuck with it in the middle of the night and thoroughly enjoyed this little glimpse into the relation between father and son. It's nice to read about the King of Mirkwood as a loving father and not as a proud ruler of an elven realm. I'm really looking forward to reading more of your stories! Author Reply: No matter how Thranduil may seem to others, I firmly believe that where Legolas was concerned, he was a loving father first and a King second. I hope you enjoy whatever else you read, and many thanks for the review.

That was nice. :) I'm glad to see someone agrees with me concerning the character and fate of Legolas' parents! A very nice Thranduil! And I think Legolas has enough to worry about without his mother dying; much better to put her safely in Valinor. ~ Coriel Author Reply: Yes, I like to think they could possibly be reunited one day. Thanks for the review.

Wow - what a great, well-written story! You made tears comes to my eyes with this piece! It's great to see a piece where Thranduil is not an abusive, overbearing father towards Legolas but is instead a proud, loving father! Again great story and I look forward to reading more of your writings! Author Reply: Thank you, I firmly believe that Thranduil loved and cherished his son, and would never harm him or allow anyone else to either.
