Gee, the revisions are even better than the originals. Not that I had a problem with the originals, not at all, but it's clear that your writing skills have expanded and deepened. The style is more even, the descriptions richer. I've also noticed a much broader vision of the place, period, and culture. And of course, you gave us a name for Lothiriel. :D Anyway, I can't wait for more revisions!! Cheers, Chibi-Kaz

I totally love these new chapters, works smoother with the rest of the story and seems to explain the characters motivations and shifts in personality/desires much better than the old chapters, which I still liked. Keep writing!

I loved the rewrite of Chapter 5. This is a great line with powerful imagery :“I pity him…he moves like a storm, striking swift to cause mayhem and yet he is not at all aware until he sees the smashed ruins, caught in the moment. He is lost, to my thinking.” you have a way with words! Author Reply: Thank you, I'm a little proud of that sentence, too. :D

An excellent chapter! Both Faramir and Eowyn are feeling lost and out of their depth with new responsibilities. Faramir, scarred by his father's disdain, feels like he cannot cope with his Stewardly responsibilities, and in truth is not coping very well with them, though we know he has the ability to do so. Eowyn feels out of her depth in the higher-tech society of Minas Tirith, afraid and unworthy of wearing finery or assuming a place of honor in "Mundberg" as the Steward's Lady. She also fears the emotional and physical closeness of being Faramir's wife and having his children, indeed any children, to the point where she cannot stand to be near the pathetic little orphans...It's interesting that Eowyn feels so frightened, when so far, the people of "Mundberg" seem to be going out of their way to try to befriend her and make her feel at home. Faramir was being unfair to Eomer in his comments at the dinner; but Lothiriel's comment “Father, tell me again who sits as Steward?” was very nasty. I assume she meant that Faramir was sounding a lot like his father; not surprising, since Faramir also seems to berate himself in his father's voice. Wonderful characterization of Prince Imrahil!
