Alas, poor Merry. Tried to kiss but missed! What an image to contemplate! Author Reply: If you read the end of chapter 9 of "Beauty for Ashes", you can see just what happens :P

I loved it all but Pip's logic about not refusing things offered by a relative and poor Frodo having to admit that he was related to everyone in the tent was way too funny! Now you should write the story about Merry and Berilac's prank or maybe the Merry and Estella kiss story? Author Reply: I didn't realize how many little bits of humor I put in this story, but readers seem to notice :P I might write about Merry and Berilac's prank. I'll have to put that on my list of 'to-do's. I already wrote abour Merry trying to kiss Estella. It's at the end of chapter 9 in "Beauty for Ashes". That's where this whole story sparked from. Dreamflower wanted to see how Merry got so drunk as to make an attempt to kiss Estella. I'm glad she gave me the plot bunny!

Hello. Nice gap-filler. But I have an FYI for you: On the Baggins side, yes, Mosco Burrows *could* be considered a rather distant cousin to Frodo (3rd cousin once removed). But look at the Brandybuck family tree: Frodo and Mosco's father Milo Burrows are first cousins (their mothers were sisters). That makes Frodo and Mosco only first cousins once removed, and no hobbit would consider that a distant cousinship. Author Reply: My beta, who knows hobbit family trees really well, didn't catch that so I'm not really worried about it. Thanks for reading :)
