Ah, we see the friendships and relationships growing, the pleasures shared by families, and the beginnings of intrigue. A bit different from my own first visit to Harad, but I'll let you check that out for yourself.

I don't think I've read a story about Men from you. I will have to go look up this one's prequel. The opening here with the 'startled hobbit' look made me laugh outloud. Arwen and Aragorn are good parents. :-) And the following part was particularly disturbing I think after the cheery first part. This looks like a dark one, FP! Great beginning.

Ah, what a sweet look at the royal family. You did the baby talk well! It's funny how adults go completely gah-gah when talking to a baby. But so I'm told, baby talk actually helps the little guys learn to talk. The higher pitch or something. Anyway, good start. I'm looking to forward to seeing what happens. Karen

Lovely family time - and the startled hobbit look sounds as if it should start a new fashion in Gondor. Arwen not going doesn't sound good though. I like the idea of Doronrin turning up and silencing Ioreth with discussion of grandchildren. The middle section though - ominous. And a good illustration of how removing a dominating and evil regime doesn't automatically improve the life of those who suffered under it - and yet leaves a space for the next Mr Nasty to come along. Children died. Children had always died. Sad. Cynical. Depressing. True. I'm not sure if the life of the people shown is improving or not - but I can see one here who wishes to be at the top of any new hierarchy. I look forward to more.

HAHAHAHAH!!! A startled Hobbitt!! That is hilarious.. Such a sweet moment with Aragorn and his baby. What a wonderful scene. The mighty warrior feeding his baby. Wonderful!!! Sweet and Pure. Where did you get the name Ninniach? It's very original. "The Rise of the House of Telcontar" was the very first story I've read when I started reading fan fiction. I just loved it. I am thrilled that you are writing a sequel. I need to read it again to refreshen my memory. I do remember Lord Ghayur. He was very taken by Arwen when they met if I remember correcty (He introduced cotton to them didn't he? Forgive me if I have mistaken this for another story..it has been a while since I've read it) Why does he want Arwen to accompany Aragorn to the summit. Sounds suspicious to me. Nasir is even creepier. His name sounds familiar. Was he in the previous story?? I feel gloom coming. Something is amiss. Very Ominous. Please don't be too long in updating. Thanks for a wonderful beginning and getting me hooked on wonderful stories like yours.

Oops! I must go back and read the prequel, though I'm glad tha I was able to follow this without the previous background!:-) It is amusing to see these poerful people in their day-to-day affairs, and particularly taking care of their children... The startled hobbit! you're wicked indeed! The contrast between Aragonrn and Faramir's settled, calm and happy family life and the dead child, though, gave me pause. The contrast was very well placed... Promising beginnings, with some grim pictures and promises of more grimness...and goriness! :-) I'll watch out!

Interesting beginning. I loved the interaction between Aragorn and "ada's little girl"; it's touching and funny. I hope we'll see more of Faramir. Can't he help Aragorn with all the diplomatic correspondance - Faramir is Steward, and helping Aragorn is his job, well, one of his jobs (the other being ruling Ithilien)...

A very interesting beginning with many familiar faces and names. Your forward, however, sounds rather ominous. I already don't have a good feeling about Thanos. Looking forward to more!

I remember reading "House of Telcontar" on another site and loving it. I am very pleased to see a sequel and can't wait to read more.

I liked the contrast between Aragorn's secure little family, where jokes can be made about bland porridge, and the hopeless family burying a child in the next section. Thano doesn't seem to be going hungry though. The name Nasir rings a bell. Was he in the previous story?
