This is beautiful, absolutely beautiful! I love the happy times with his family, Frodo-lad, the bitter-sweetness, the hopeful ending...and much, much more. You never cease to amaze me with your amazing, lyrical style. And how on earth do you always manage to get me in tears? :-) But these are tears of joy. Namarie, and God bless, Galadriel

Antane, Oh my goodness! That was so bittersweet! It left me smiling through my tears, heart filled with pity for Frodo-lad(a pretty cool character) and happiness for Sam and Frodo. I loved Merry and Pippin's "Were we ever this bad?" "No, we couldn't have been. We would never have survived childhood." If only those dear Hobbits knew how much trouble they really were!! :) Again, wonderful writing. I love all your stories. Namarie, mellon nin!! God Bless, Frodo Baggins

What a wonderful, bitter-sweet story. I've always loved Sam, especially in the book. Quite honestly I always thought, he is the real hero, if you can talk about heroes at all! This story really does him good credit. Thank you for writing and sharing it! Author Reply: Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. I love Sam to death in the book, though Frodo is still my favorite. But what love is in Sam for his master - it's the most beautiful love there is - those scenes are among my favorites in the book. Ditto for thinking he's the hero! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Yes, going home to the home he's not seen and the brother of his heart.

Sad and happy both. A truly nice outpouring! Sam's family must have missed him sorely, but maybe they'll be happy for him eventually.
