No Good Deed  by French Pony 7 Review(s)

An interesting development. Wonder if Narvis ever dreamed the Nurnim would manage to take such high-born slaves?

Oh my! now this is terrible! Now with Faramir standing duty on Minas tirith that's going to be quite hard for him! Thano , an the other side, I don't think is going to have an easy tie with Eowyn around, though.. he's goging to regret his mistake sorely I fear! (and hope...):-)

Oh no; evil Thano! Enslaving people won't help his own folk; it will just give them more mouths to feed and not teach them what they need to make their own land fruitful. Not to mention the fact that when he figures out where his people have been taken, Faramir will bring the wrath of Ithilien and Gondor down on Thano's head. I imagine Eomer will be pretty wrathful himself, since his sister and niece and nephew were carried off.

I'm even more worried about Aragorn as Ghayur's "guest". Though I don't think Ghayur meant for Thano to steal the Princess of Ithilien and her children; he seemed to be provoking Thano to be a nuisance and distraction than a military force capable of seriously threatening Gondor.

Poor Eowyn and the other ladies and kids - they are not the sort to be easily broken into slavery! Will Thano realize the trouble he's in by having kidnapped the wife and children of the Steward of Gondor? I just hope that he doesn't take a fancy to Eowyn; he seems to like having attractive women to serve him.

Borlas was quite brave, trying to save Elboron, and later riding for Minas Tirith despite his injuries.

Faramir will be broken-hearted; and, I suspect, very, very angry in a cold and deep sort of way.

Bring on the next chpater!

Oh did they pick the wrong people to carry off to make into slaves! That was very well written, FP. Very tense. And Eowyn was perfect, I think. But boy did Thano chose poorly. Eowyn is going to be far from an easily breakable slave and if Aragorn goes anywhere near his village, I think the results for Thano will be much less than what he hoped for. Poor, mislead fellow.

Wow, that was totally unexpected! A nice little outing of blueberry picking turns into a bloodbath and slave taking! I think Thano might have just taken a bigger bite of trouble than he can handle. Faramir is going to bring the wrath of Gondor on Thano and company when he finds out that his entire family is captured.

I wonder how this is going to affect Aragorn's negotiations.

Poor Eowyn and the children, this is too cruel though I feel Eowyn will somehow protect her offspring.

I am totally gripped by this excellent story.

Ho-ly Cow. Thano just landed himself in a bucket o' trouble. I knew he was hunting slaves, but when I read about the blueberry party, it never crossed my mind that he would descend on Eowyn and company. Eowyn is tough but she has all those children there. That's going to slow her down. Every one of them is a potential hostage to keep her behaving herself.
