| It's great to see this scene from Legolas's POV. I agree that he must have been at the battle, fighting at his father's side, and saddened by the death toll. I love the last line - I can quite believe that Legolas was the one to find Bilbo! Jay Author Reply: Thanks! And as my mother says "If it ain't true, then we'll always think it should've been." I keep hoping for that lost Tolkien manuscript, the one with all the juicy Legolas backstory...but until it shows up, I guess we'll have to fill in the gaps ourselves. | I think you can be forgiven for this teensy little alteration. It's not like you had *Arwen* be the one to find him, is it, LOL? Really, this was nice; I caught Legolas' after battle weariness and melancholy very well, and I can just see his joy at finding Mithrandir's "little" friend".
