Oh! I love the impatience of Legolas! Perfect game! I rate the jumping up a resounding '10!' Author Reply: Some people have suggested that Thranduil keeled over from a heart attack at this point :>) I wish I could draw - I'd love to show Legolas jumping out of the leaf pile!

...Fortunately Little Legolas was well trained and knew to call 911 when Ada keeled over clutching his chest... But seriously, that was so sweet! I loved the, "You found me!" bit. I can just see him undoer those leaves just itching to ambush Thranduil! ~TF Author Reply: LOL! I don't know if elves have heart attacks, but Thranduil very nearly did here! I don't see Legolas deliberately ambushing his father here. When Thranduil happened to walk past, then of course he had found his elfling.

Aww. Such a sweet game of hide and seek. I love the way Legolas explodes out of the pile of leaves - and gives his Adar a heart attack. He's a good little hider - better, I think, than Thranduil expected. Delightful. Author Reply: Yes - Thranduil was expecting a more obvious hiding place. If he'd looked a bit more closely, he might have seen the pile of leaves quivering with laughter - but he didn't.

I love the idea of Thranduil playing 'hide and seek' with his little elfling. And it is the *perfect* place for a wood-elf prince to hide - in the leaves! A sweet drabble! Author Reply: I like to write about Thranduil playing with Legolas, even though he's a busy King. He's a father too. And where else would a wood-elf hide? The question is, where will Thranduil hide?

A wonderful place for Legolas to have hidden himself. Lovely pictures now in my mind. Author Reply: I wish I could draw the pictures in my mind as I wrote this. Sadly, I'm no artist :(

I love it! Love the image of Thranduil and Legolas playing. And I love the image of Legolas jumping out of the leaves. Very sweet! Author Reply: I like to show Thranduil playing with his son - and being startled by him at times! That picture of Legolas jumping out of the leaves was one of the first parts of this drabble to come to me.

I just read this over at RMH about three seconds ago! This is lovely. I'm smiling in delight at the thought of Thranduil playing with his elfling and I just adore the image of Legolas jumping out in excitement from the pile of leaves (and the fact that Ada nearly didn't find him!). Now where's Thranduil going to hide?? :-) Author Reply: I'm sure that Thranduil could take at least a little time from doing 'king things' to do father things instead. You're right in spotting that Ada didn't find him - but it doesn't matter to either of them. I now have this wonderful mental image of Thranduil hiding in a corner of the stables, under the bemused looks of the grooms.
