The Harpist's Redemption  by Coreinha 4 Review(s)
Reviewed Chapter: 13 on 6/22/2025
Oh man: As I once followed Frodo into the wastes of Mordor, so must you go with Elrohir to battle Morgoth. You must make certain he has the courage and will to continue onward. The jewel is the key. Don't forget that, Legolas. Oh, and take this!"
The phial of Galadriel?

"My son, the time has come to right the wrongs I led you to do. I have faith that you will be the one to redeem the House of Feanor. Know that I am with you, even if you cannot see me; leave behind the mantle of the Kinslayer and become the Harpist once again." Ah. Well I guessed that already.

The Heir of Luthien is either Elrohir or Legolas, isn’t it? Or is it Elros? Arwen did mention him, I think. I think it is Elros now.

Elrohir blinked once, then recovered himself and bowed as Elven protocol required when meeting a foreign dignitary, though there was probably no social protocol for meeting a foreign dignitary that had been dead for tens of thousands of years. "I am honored, my lord. If you don't mind me asking, how have I come to be in your presence?"
Ah…nor for one who is your uncle. Elros! I have not read a scene like this before!

Elros' smile broadened to a grin as he stepped off the throne and clapped his nephew on the shoulder. "I think you know that this is a dream, Elrohir. You always were an intelligent lad. I come with a message...well, several messages, actually." humourous.
Elrohir swallowed and nodded once, both eager and terrified to hear what his long-dead uncle would have to say.
Fear not. Remember to trust in your own strength, and remember that you are descended from the only beings ever to do harm to the dark lord. Take heart and use that heritage to your advantage!"
Oh boy, I suppose he is right. i.e. Finrod and Gil-galad.?

This is a really long one, but I have started writing commentary now. Sorry!

Sorry, unless you've seen Kung Pow recently, that will mean absolutely nothing to you, but I couldn't resist.

Being relativly new to this website, I just read this story for the first time. So far it is very interesting. Please update soon. I would love to read some more. Your sense of story is very refreshing.

Author Reply: Thanks! That's one of the nicest compliments I've received in a very long time. I'll try to update in the next couple of weeks, but this story is extremely complex and I'm trying to not rush in telling it. :-)

OMG! I'd all but given up on this ever being updated.

I'm glad that Elros was able to comfort Elrohir - a little - in his grief. I'm wondering, though, how the four companions will be able to defeat Morgoth with a ship laden with high explosives.

Pleae don't leave the next update so long!

Author Reply: So I'm a little slow sometimes, I'll try not to take so long next time! It was your reviews that finally goosed me into continuing, though. :-)

The high explosives will play their part in the story, but the true weapon against the dark lord has yet to be revealed. I think you'll be surprised when you find out what it is. *mysterious smirk*
