I love this!!! wonderfully done, MarigoldG! I can see them, feeling as tall as the elves, lost to the musick and the magick! Author Reply: Thank you Pearl! I can see them too, dancing around the fire with their wreaths and bracelets of ivy and brightly coloured leaves, for this night as gay and wild as the Wood Elves themselves... What a painting that would be!

Now this is beautifully evocative, with the hints of fear that the magic could possibly end for Merry, and he could find himself in Bilbo's plight, so long ago. Very, very nicely done. Author Reply: I am so glad that you liked it! I imagine Merry as being a realist with a great deal of common sense, and folks like that who come across magick sometimes can doubt whether or not they are worthy of being caught up in it, if that makes any sense... : ) Thank you for reading and reviewing!

"Merry and Pippin accepted with delight, although Sam was busy with re-planting the Shire and sowing seed of another kind." (*snorts laughter*--I'll bet he was!) I'll try to explain as best I can as to how much I loved this tale. As with your Marigold tales, I felt as if I was right there standing beside Merry while he observed the Elven Magick. His thoughts are so eloquently written, detailed, and real. I felt them! To be excluded as he described would indeed be painful, however, his doubts also "smelled" of the darkness--trying to spoil his joy. I, for one, am glad that it didn't. Extremely well done. :-) I wish you would write more stories; they have a Magick quality all their own. Pippinfan Author Reply: Hullo T! What lovely compliments, thank you so much! This tale actually came into being because suddenly, wide awake and out of the Blue, I found myself in Merry's head while all of this revelry was taking place. I watched everything, tasted everything, felt and experienced everything. Nothing like that has ever happened to me before. And when it was over I just wrote it all down! I wish that would happen to me often! I would definitely write more stories then! Thank you for thinking that they have Magick! Hugs, L

I just love Merry and Pippin in the middle of an elven feast - and it is so Merry to stand back and doubt the reality - just as it is very Pippin to be right in the middle of it. And Magick with a k is just so much more magical! I am looking forward to more adventures among the elves of Greenwood. Author Reply: Thank you! I felt as though Merry was actually writing this little glimpse of the feast, I could see and hear everything through him, if that makes any sense. I am glad that Merry and Pippin seemed so *right* to you! Magick with a k is thanks to my beta, Llinos, and I agree that it is more magical indeed! Hopefully Merry and/or Pippin will pop into my head with another highlight from their holiday : )

So very glad to see this over here! I have to say once more how I love it--the image of the two hobbits crowned in leaves and dancing among the Elves is just lovely. Author Reply: Thank you again! They do fit right in don't they?

Just had to review again over here because that last line was stuck with me since I read it. It must have been so wonderful for Merry to have a moment of complete joy like this one and to feel such powerful 'Magick' within himself. I still love your discriptions of how naturally Pippin fits in with the elves. Lovely! Author Reply: Thanks! I love that last line too, though I say it as shouldn't, lol. I'm so glad that you do too. Merry very seldom lets his guard down completely and I was so happy that he just let himself go for once : )
