| Arwen is more and more the voice of reason in this story. I'm glad to see that she only puts up with so much angst from her husband before she essentially says, "get real, bud." :) :) . Now, what's been happening with Eomer? Guess I'll find out soon. Good work, Linda. You've still got me hanging on to my seat. - Steff Author Reply: I have grown very fond of Arwen,the more I have written about her.I see her as very sensible,wise and calm but not one to stand any nonsense. | Ooh! Don't leave me hanging here! I love the exhaustion of Aragorn, the concern for Faramir, but most especially the relationship between Arwen and Eowyn. It is just as I have always imagined it to be. I love this! The undertone of concern for Eowyn is one of my favorite parts! Excellent work! Author Reply: I hope to update again soon,I'm pleased you like the way i depict EOwyn and Arwen.I always like to think as two outsiders in Gondor,they would befriend each other.Eowyn's condition is another plot thread that will eventually be resolved. | Well, at least Eowyn has learned the value of talking! Arwen makes a very good friend for her, too - and she has enough wisdom to deal with the Shieldmaiden's rough edges. But Faramir! It's a shame Aragorn doesn't have access to truth drugs. If only Faramir could bring himself to reveal his worries, he could start getting better. Author Reply: I think Faramir has lived so long having to conceal his true feelings,it makes it hard for him to confide,especially something as terrible as he fears.I think Eowyn learned her lesson in Shadow and Thought. | As I understand it, the thing with Faramir and Éowyn and Aragorn all in the bed together came because Faramir and Éowyn were sharing body heat to warm Aragorn, right? I don't get why everyone is making such a big deal out of that, as though someone was being massively unfaithful to someone else by doing it. I mean, yes, Éowyn and Aragorn occupied the same bed for a night. But Faramir was there as well, and Aragorn appears to have been too out of it to have moved, much less tried anything funny. At least the ladies did get a chance to talk and be reasonable and friendly before Aragorn arrived. It's ironic that he doesn't want to mention his suspicions about what might have happened to Faramir to the ladies in order to "protect" them, when they're clearly more able to deal with that sort of thing with cool and considerate heads than he is. It was nice to see Arwen with Eldarion. The poor baby almost seems to have become an afterthought, given everything else that was going on while he was being born. Author Reply: It is Eomer who is making a big thing about Eowyn in bed with two men,no doubt as an over protective brother,who also has a head injury.His damaged mind has turned the whole thing into some sort of orgy !The others had almost forgotten it and poor Aragorn didn't even know until recently.The full story is in "A Growing Bond" in "Shadow and Thought." Both Aragorn and Faramir greatly underestimate their wives and are over protective towards them.I think also that women usually do find delicate matters easier to talk about. Eldarion will play a further part in the story,at least Arwen is looking after him well. Many thanks for your much appreciated review. | |
