Aw, that's so sweet! There's nothing like being genuinely nice and caring to children to make people think twice about your reputation. And I can just see Frodo picking up Marigold and drying her tears.
Author Reply: The Gaffer can be fun to write, because his is such a country accent. I really need to get back into the swing of fanfiction. |

| The Gaffer held a good deal of respect for those "mad" Bagginses. It's so nice to see his thoughts of appreciation here. I could see Frodo doing something like that, and thinking nothing about it. |
