I can't believe you wrote this half asleep. I can't write this well fully awake. What a totally chilling chapter. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. The question in my mind is who will help Aragorn and how. The undead cannot have him. Tari Author Reply: Author Reply: Author Reply: Author Reply: It will take you *quite* a few more chapters to know who can and will -truly- help Aragorn, Tari. :-) Thanks very much for the review. Maybe I should write more horror stories half-asleep then, lol! Legolass

Wow. This is utterly fascinating. I've gotten this far, have to save the rest for later. As always, the conenction between Legolas and Aragorn is my favourite bit, but you incorporate the others into the stories very well. I like the demonstrations of "twinship" between Elladan and Elorhir, being a twin myself. We do all that stuff like finishing each other sentences and not to mention knowing what each other is thinking. Hopefully I'll get around to the rest of it soon. I certainly don't know what to expect. Author Reply: Hi, Shaan Lien - what a pleasure it is to hear from you! Hope you're well, my friend. I'm glad you're being entertained by the story - and it's good to know that the 'twinship' moments do occur in real life. Uncanny, what twins share! Thanks for the review, and you can look forward to more moments between those two friends. On my part, I'm looking forward to hearing from you again later, whenever you have the time. BTW - guess what I'm watching now? Elizabethtown! Orlando's latest movie - have you seen it yet? I'm watching it for the second time. I like the movie, and he's still drop-dead gorgeous. Kirsten Dunst is also very good. Legolass

*blushes a bright red* A dedication - oh, that's sweet... Thank you, dear gorgeous-elf-writer (=GEW :D)! *huggles* Sweet, the conversation between Sam and Gimli. It is somehow funny to imagine Sam trying to convince Galadriel in a possible next dream that she should please visit Gimli instead... *g* I see now where the dedication came from... *smiles* "Legolas sang from his heart, and his tone was laced with love, for he was singing for a cherished friend bowed with care." - This is beautiful... and sweet... *melts* Oh, Aragorn is really a lucky ranger - pardon, king! Hehe. ROTFL!!! The beginning of the next section presents quite a contrast, lol! “Those elves will never savor the robust flavor of a good, hearty song straight from the stomach!” Now I really wonder who those ghosts or dead beings are. They *were* released - but who could those others be?! Perhaps they have something to to with Isildur as well - or why should they seek out Aragorn?! This chapter would have been perfect for Halloween - I'm starting to wonder if anyone will sleep well after all this nice, comforting talk... ;-) Uh... poor Aragorn... *shudders and looks around for any suspicious creeping shadows* *gulps* "Taken the others"??? I wonder what this means... And I wonder if Aragorn is alright, I doubt it somehow... *pokes king* You could not perhaps write a neverending chapter?! *puppy eyes* I loved that chapter (again ;-) and I'm (patiently :P) looking forward to the next one... A Wet Puddle who is afflicted by update-longing again :D Author Reply: You're most welcome. :-) (Just watched TTT again last night and this is what Aragorn said to haldir when the elves arrived at Helm's Deep) - sighhh... that Ranger is one enchanting stud as well. *drool and blush* Re the contrast - yeah I intended the contrast - glad you caught it. :-) As for the 'others' ... well, wait and see, Wet Puddle. And I can assure you - nobody will sleep tonight (see next chapter; unless my plt bunny suddenly darts off in a different direction). BTW , I watched LOTR on the big screen a total of 37 times. (DVD viewings - let's not even try to count the times...). You? :-)

I loved the elves singing in the tree under the stars, it is so like them. So some of the dead army are after Aragorn. That's quite scary. Still we only get hints about why they harbor malice against him. Then there's the bit from Galadriel's message implying that Legolas will need help maintaining hope. I've no doubt that the struggle ahead will make for a great story! ~TF Author Reply: Why they harbor malice against him? IS it malice? We'll see. Still a ways to go. ;-) Thanks for dropping in.

Mae Govannen Legolass, Ooh males (that includes men, dwarfs, elves & the hobbit variety too)are such stubborn, pig headed creatures some times. The man KNOWS some thing is after him and he still refuses to stay with some one at all times. I tried to tell Aragorn (well- it was more like me screaming "wake up, wake up" at the monitor but let's forget that image ok) to "wake up" that use to work for me whenever I dreamed of monsters under the bed. Any thing that can shake our dear elf must be scary indeed! As Always, your fan Eliza Author Reply: Hey, Eliza :-) I guess things were very different then - after all, the King had to be careful to appear strong and independent (no matter how tender-hearted he was inside) - but after this night, he's going to appreciate someone with him all the time. I know who MY choice of companion (read: elf prince) would be *wink* lol. Great to see you again, and thank you.

... update? ... Update! Oh beech and acorn, I'm glad! (waving tail) But you are too sweet - for that dedication I am prepared to offer up half my winter store of nuts and seeds! So they are back in Pelargir, and Aragorn does not intend to ward 'them' off - he's literally inviting death, and that in the face of the Lady's warning. Stubborn ranger! He is so lucky to have Legolas watching over him. (Holding breath) I believe ... I can almost hear them singing ... "Amidst the soft rustle ..." hey that's me!! (falling off branch into same thick leaf pile) Did everyone read that?! I'm in the story! (shooting up the next tree, leaves exploding behind in all directions) oh I love love love this chapter (curling tail round screen). My but those dead things are scary - wisps of mist and red eyes (shudder), whom have they taken? I have a very bad feeling about this. (scurrying back to its nice, cozy, comfortable hole) Author Reply: Re Aragorn's stubborness: if they weren't very certain about the threat before this - they will be now. :-) Sigh, I wish I had legolas watching over me... and singing for me... But maybe a bushy-tailed red squirrel will? lol! Yes, you're in the story and yes, everyone read it. :-) THanks for your visit!

Perhaps you needed to be half asleep to cope with these nightmarish spectres! I don't think that it could have been better even if you had been wide awake! Author Reply: A half-asleep but heartfelt thank you to you, harrowcat. :-)

this was an amazing chapter, the mystery is solved and I'm glad you let Faramir solve it but at what cost ! Aragorn should never have been alone in the room after Sam's warning,he is far too stubborn. I am eagerly awaiting you next chapter of this great story. Author Reply: "Aragorn should never have been alone in the room after Sam's warning,he is far too stubborn." - that's what Legolas felt too, but it was hard to convince Aragorn that he wasn't being 'baby-sat'. Men! *rolling eyes*. But I'll tell him what you said. ;-) Thank you very much for dropping in.
