Just read both Hiding from the King and Seeing the Shire. Sweet, charming, warm. You have wonderfully captured the affection which Aragorn bore for the Shire. I echo another reviewr who said that it would be a wonderful place to visit. Thank you for sharing! Author Reply: Thank you for reviewing! I like to write Aragorn and the hobbits. :)

Oh, yes, Aragorn, you must visit the Shire indeed one day; and the pages have reason to be glad for their King's relief of spirit. Author Reply: Yes, I think he should visit, too. Too bad he bound himself to his own law that no men can enter the Shire.

Awww. (I keep saying that, in response to your drabbles.) I like this expansion on an idea of JRRT's, that Elessar kept the Palantir to be able to look at different parts of his kingdom, sort of a long-distance viewer. And that he'd check up on his friends in the Shire, and find rest in the virtual visit, what a nice thought! Author Reply: I'm glad you like it! I can just see Aragorn using the palantir for a little R&R. :)

sixteen children in the charge of only three male hobbits! I am not shaking my head in sympathy I am wincing in anticipation of what Rosie will find when she gets home. Brave of her to leave at all. But then again I am feeling just like Aragorn whenever I read stories on this site - wishing I was there and not just looking in from a distance! Author Reply: I suppose that if Aragorn had looked towards the door, he would have seen Rosie standing and surveying the chaos with a look of grim death on her face. And possibly Estella and Diamond as well. :)
