Aragorn and Faramir and the others as horsies - is that adorable or what? We can learn much from the innocence and joyfulness of hobbits. The bit of garden dedicated to Smeagol is touching. LOL about Sam putting the Ring into a sulk! I'm sure he did. :) Love how innocently he speak of this and how he wasn't going to take no orders from a stupid piece of jewelry. I think of the Gaffer telling that Nazgul off who came looking for Baggins. It did indeed hate Sam and everything else, but Sam was guarded by love. I love this section. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

My dear BB! Love the bit about Gandalf watching them and puffing on his pipe!! What a lovely image! that is happened I'm sure!! I also love the pains you have taken to bring the Sandyman family, minus a certain Ted Sandyman. Violet's lovely, and I love seeing her come out of her self! "No more than I hated it for what it was doing to you, m'dear. It tried whispering to me a few times, both before and after I carried it, but I just thought of Bag End and Frodo and flowers and wall-building, and it shut up. Reckon it went into a right sulk." Love the image of the One Ring in a right sulk!! LOL!!! quite an image!! you are right about the Ring and Sam. They just did not get along!! Bless Sam! Wondeful installment! MM

So, finally Verse Seventy-One will be revealed? Just can't wait for it ;-) With four brothers Rosie will certainly know all verses, and lots of other drinking songs, too, I'm sure! "Sam Gamgee don't listen to jumped-up bits of jewellery, no matter who speaks through 'em. I knew that whatever it said it didn't mean, so I ignored it." That's so absolutely Sam! And I think, you're right. That's exactly, what happened. Three cheers to good old Sam and his plain hobbit sense! Author Reply: Yes, Rose is pretty unshockable i suspect. Sam has such a huge store of hobbit sense that I think he would have been uniquely placed to resist the Ring. Three cheers indeed for wonderful Sam!

All seventy-nine verses she knows? Most well-educated, Rose is. And love the references to Unfinished Tales. Author Reply: I suspect Rose knows a number of drinking songs, especially with four brothers. I've always been fascinated and revolted by that story about Isildur's body - that Saruman would go that far shows just how far he had fallen. What did he do with the body, I wonder?

How fun! I love seeing Aragorn and the others playing "horsie" with the little hobbits! The discussion in the garden was lovely as well--I am sure Boromir would have been very touched to have seen the beautiful garden made for him. The cake sounded delicious! Nevermind waiting for Rose to write a cookbook--how about a recipe for that cake? LOL! *sigh* I *so* love your Shire!! Author Reply: Yes, I might have to unearth my recipe for coffee and walnut cake! And nice to think of a Gondorian version of tiramisu! :-)) Who wouldn't enjoy spending time in the Shire, in the company of happy hobbits? I am glad you think Boromir would have been touched by the memorial garden, and as for the image of Aragorn and the others being horseys for little hobbits - I just had a vivid picture in my head and I had to write it. Delighted to see you still enjoying this - I know it's impossibly fluffy but I love visiting the Shire and spending time with our friendly, happy hobbits, and I'm glad others seem to enjoy it too.

Uh oh...Now *this* will a night to remember!! *snicker* Can't wait to read about the invasion of The Green Dragon and, hopefully, all the verses to this lauded song. :oD Oh and the image of Aragorn, Faramir and the Stewards being horsey-ies for Sam and Rose's children...Baggins Babe, you needed to post a fluffy warning for the start of this chapter. Too, too sweet and adorable!! Oh and I loved this... *********** I want this place to remain a haven, so I know life here goes on in peace. But don't worry, for there will be many visits between our families. We are linked in love." ************ Perfect, perfect, perfect and so true!! They were all linked in love. I really can't wait for the next chapter!! Bring on the drunken singing!!! :oD Author Reply: I don't think I'll write out all 79 verses - they're much too rude for this board anyway! However, I think there will certainly be a flavour of it, and I'll try and let you know what happens in Verse Seventy One! I hope the regulars at the 'Green Dragon' are in good voice....... I had a really clear image in my mind of the King, two Stewards and other assorted Men being horseys for little hobbits and I knew it had to go in. Sorry about the lack of a fluff warning though! :-))

Loved it BB. "Sam Gamgee don't listen to jumped-up bits of jewellery, no matter who speaks through 'em. I knew that whatever it said it didn't mean, so I ignored it." I was rolling around just like Frodo reading this! Author Reply: I can picture you rolling about! Trust Sam to express his opinions firmly and in his own unique way. Will update as soon as possible.

Your updates make me so happy, BB! This is the happiness, peace, and love I always want to see for our beloved characters. Ohhh, the horseys!! And what wonderful memorial gardens. I can just see it all so clearly. (And you know I squeal with joy anytime Rufus wanders into a chapter.) Oh my, the thought of finding Isildur's body and giving it a proper burial -- what a fascinating idea! And how wonderful that there's such lively and appreciated trade between the Shire and Gondor. This is truly the Fourth Age as I imagine it should have been. Author Reply: Had such a clear picture in my mind of the horsey high jinks that I had to write it! Glad you enjoyed all the fluff and happiness. Yes, I always shudder at the thought that Saruman plundered Isildur's body. A nasty thought indeed. I have been bitten by a plot bunny and I'm writing your requested Rufus-centric story. Should be posted soon.
