| Ok, I remembered the review button this time. :-) Halbarad's "I don't know what she just said but she sounded just like my mother!" was priceless. I love the 'universality' of language, don't you. And the fact that it reminded Glorfindel of Elrond had me hooting. This chapter was wonderful, and I love that Penny is adjusting. As for the Aragorn and Co. leaving immediately, I have to go back and check on the wording when I get home, but if it says immediately, that can actually be quite subjective. Especially given that they are in an elven (and therefore 'timless') realm. Can't remember the exact way it's written, but I always got the impression that they left immediately = the day after, since the Council went on for ages and they would then need time to prepare their gear and routes and all. So I wouldn't be too worried about your suggestion. Just the logistics would require them to spend at least a day and even two days after. *rubs hands together* and now I can press the 'next' button. Weeee! | |
