I meant acknowledge.

Loved the second "first meeting" scene here and pretty much everything else in this chapter! It's so romantic-movie-like! Poor Eomer didn't know what hit him! I enjoyed the sensual tension and romantic undertones of their "argument" and Lothy's line: "After all, with three brothers I have lots of practice in forgiving stupidity,” was priceless! And Erchirion's: “Unfortunately sororicide is illegal in Gondor.”

Willow bark tea! Also wirklich!

YES! At last, a ficcer with a truly literary background!!! I absolutely adored how you worked in the reference to "The Lion In Winter", quite possibly my all time favorite script.

Do all Rohirrim have knives? *evil grin*

Cheers, and can't wait for more,
Chibi-Kaz

Author Reply: For some reason Geoffrey has always been my favourite of that wolfs pack. He is definitely the son with the most brain (I think).

Do all Rohirrim have knives? - Yes, I think they have, but I have never considered them being barbarians.

Something happens as soon as these two set eyes on each other that is quite magic. They both lose all common sense - and awareness of what is happening around them. I love the very public debate.

As if it is Lothiriel's fault that Eomer didn't know who she was! What kind of healer goes round announcing to all and sundry that she is a princess? And he feels so deliciously awkward because he has been having lewd thoughts about his friend's daughter.

And, behind him, to his complete ignorance, all those noble well-wishers' brains are clicking and coming up with the thought - 'very suitable match'. Little do they know that they are doomed!

Author Reply: Lothíriel is certainly blissfully unaware what is going on around her; Éomer does realize that they have attracted an audience - by he doesn't care.

I loved this chapter the second time around too. The verbal sparring was very well done. :D

Author Reply: Love match or sparring partners? What would be more fun for the onlookers?

This is fun! Good writing. I'm eager to read about the feast....

Author Reply: I suppose by now you've learnt that I skipped the feast. Hope it's still fun to read, anyway.

Well that was rousing! I love seeing two clever strong people argue like this. But it sounds as if they have some explaining to do now. That should be even more fun.

Author Reply: Can you imagine how it is, when you expect that everybody is going to grill you about your behaviour but nobody actually does?
