| I didn't think about this match before I descovered your stories -- probably just thouhgt, that in the fresh and delirious afterwar world even arranged marriage will work somehow. The funny thing, there are so many fanfics with Eomer overly protective big brother ever eager to strangle Faramir or worse -- and here you make him look at the usurper for the hints how to love one's wife. Sorry for my clumsy English, and thanks for the story! Author Reply: I have always liked to write about this match because we know nothing about it - all we can do is glean Eomer's character from the books. I have always held to the belief that even if he married Lothiriel for political reasons - he would have treated her with respect and honour because she was Imrahil's daughter. As regards Faramir - I have always thought that Eomer would repect Faramir and be glad his sister was marrying such a worthy man. Thanks for the review. LBJ | |

| I'm glad Eomer moved from practicality - 'you have a daughter and I need a wife' - to discovering that he loved Lothiriel. She is an ideal queen for him - and fortunately, she loves him right back! I reckon he was a goner once he'd seen her control that wild horse. Good story, entertainingly written - and certainly likely to draw me back for a couple of rereadings!
