Oh sweet Eru, an update- just in the nick of time! (I'm in the middle of a meeting, ABOUT meetings, how is this possible. I'm starting to wish I had been possessed by the forgotten.) After reading the chapter I see why you named it hearts unfurled. As always your by-play between Legolas and Aragorn moves one to tears. Finally, finally some one asks Estel if he was scared, I mean just because the guy is king....I think that is one of the more touching scenes you have written between those two. Now about Fierthwain, please tell Gimil I said to just chop his head off and be done with it, as with most bigots his big mouth is really starting to tick me off.(and if I call some one a "wargs behind" in this meeting, I'll get locked up for sure) Happy new year to you, thanks for the wonderful start. Your fan, Eliza Author Reply: Lol - you and your meetings, Eliza! And this about meetings, too. Glad I was able to 'save' you for a while. :-) Yes I think Aragorn is vulnerable to fear too; he is human after all. Good to know you liked that tete-a-tete between those two - thank you. :-) I'll pass your message on to Gimli. Maybe he can stick Fierthwain's head in a warg's behind instead, hmmm? :-D May 2006 hold less meetings for you!

Aaaaaaahhhhh *drooling all over the place like the filthiest warg* Sunset is soooo much more beautiful when there is an enchanting elven profile in it! :-) 'Beautiful, mysterious, and dangerous' - one can hardly disagree with that, it only depends upon your loyalties, as Gandalf so wisely pointed out. 'A simple matter of declaring them forgiven', methinks that is a tad too optimistic. The phial and Lord Celeborn, that's Heavy Armour to back our friends up. Celeborn made a very impressive entrance, and I'm absolutely charmed that you included him. What roles are they going to play, huh? *bouncing up and down* It might actually be a good thing that Aragorn admitted his fear to Legolas. (Spelt his name wrong in my last review, did I? Guess whose fault that is... ;-) It's better to drag it into the open - whatever's lurking in the dark can grow uncontrollably and assail you with so much more force (talk about nightmares!). *giggles* I love that 'more cheer in a graveyard' quote - it's movie-verse, isn't it? I don't remember it from the books, but it's a good one. That Fierthwain has a very loud mouth, bigger than his brain, actually. If he tries the patience of his king any further I suspect his cousin might have to peel him off the wall - I wouldn't even be sorry to see that... So you encountered one of my distant cousins? *giggles* Be warned, a rodent's kin is huge and widespread - and I have told each and everyone of them to spy on you and your plot bunny. But there have been no reports so far, the lazy lot. Guess I will have to wait for your update, sigh... ;-) Author Reply: LOL! *trying to imagine a beautiful, furry rodent drooling like a warg* Oh, we loves our elfsies don't we precious? :-) A romantic sunset with a heavenly elf = a formula for swooning. As for the roles Heavy Armor (sounds like a rock band) is going to play - hmmm... oh yeah, they will... oh wait! you're not supposed to know yet. so- shoo, tell your kin no peeping. :-) 'more cheer in a graveyard' - yes from TTT the movie. I love it! I thought it would be clear to all, so I didn't bother to add a note about it. I may go back and do it. Somehow I don;t think we've seen the last of Fierthwain yet. Do you? ;-) Thanks for the review, cuddly rodent. Happy New year!

Well, you probably remember what I thought of the first half of that chapter... *PURRING* I think I forgot to mention that I also like Hamille's and Gimli's anger and protectiveness. They really get along well, don't they? ;-) I really don't like the attitude of these men - I hope these prejudices are not going to cause problems. *suspicious look at author* If anything, this first part of the chapter is even more beautiful now. I LOVED the last sentence, how they are sitting there, shoulder to shoulder, and Eärendil rising above them... *blissful sigh* I have alway been fascinated by the Paths of the Dead (bookverse), and I always wished Tolkien had not only told us about it in hindsight. I'm really happy you lead us there again! *rubs hands* And don't you dare change any plotlines and tell us about it afterwards! *g* I can't believe you used that "more cheer in a graveyard"-quote - I just watched TTT yesterday night! I think you could quite easily convince me that you're a mind-reader. LOL! Aragorn is being "charming", hm? *giggle* I'm really glad he's in the company of all those elves - and one grumpy dwarf. *huggles poor dwarf* Aragorn better had a good response for this fool, otherwise I had a mind to borrow Gimli's axe and answer him myself... *grumbles* If they don't want the elves in their village, I'd graciously take them in... ;-) *purring* Well, I think I can live with that answer... *happy sigh* Hm, Fierthwain could be trouble. *glowers* *winces at blood-curdling wail* It seems the Dead have taken notice of Aragorn's presence. This was a WONDERFUL chapter, Legolass, and I'm looking forward to the next one and another meeting with the Dead. :) A melted, happy, blissful, PURRING Wet Puddle :D Author Reply: I can hear your purr all the way from two oceans away, Tinu. :-) Change plotlines? You mean, as in not go to the Paths? No - that won't change. THey'll get there in the next two chapters. Only time for a short response, Tinu - gotta get to work. Thank you for dropping in. Happy New Year!
