| Wenn ich mich nicht sehr irre, darf ich endlich mal wieder in meiner eigenen Sprache reviewen! *freu* Das ist eine interessante Idee, daß Aragorns Berührung, als er Éowyn während der Auseinandersetzung zwischen Théoden/Saruman und Gandalf festhielt, bereits ihre heilende Wirkung entfaltet haben. Darauf wäre ich nie gekommen, aber es könnte durchaus so gewesen sein, ob von Aragorn nun beabsichtigt oder nicht. Und es würde natürlich auch noch einen weiteren Grund hinzufügen, warum Éowyn sich mehr oder weniger in ihn verliebt hat oder das zumindest glaubte. Was nun Brego betrifft, das ist auch eine Idee - da es ja nicht Canon ist und Tolkien uns keinen Hinweis drauf gegeben hat, kann man endlos spekulieren, ob Aragorns Talente als Pferdeflüsterer nun auf seine langjährige Erfahrung mit Pferden zurückgeht, auf das Aufwachsen mit den Elben, die ja ihre eigene Art haben, mit Tieren umzugehen, auf seine heilenden Hände - oder eine Mischung aus alledem. Und es ist natürlich noch ein Grund für Éowny, die Pferdenärrin, ihn anzuhimmeln ;-) Author Reply: Ich denke, Aragorn hat den Umgang mit Tieren durchaus bei den Elben gelernt. Und wenn man dann seine königliche Gabe der Heilung dazu nimmt, muss man sich nicht wundern, dass das arme Pferd so positiv darauf reagiert... ebenso wie Éowyn. | Aragorn makes an impressive horse-whisperer, no doubt about it! And then he is there, his gaze fixed on the stallion, with that grey intensity that startled me the day before and made me grow silent and still in his grip, with nothing but a hint of steel in those eyes and a single word, spoken with a slightly hoarse, low voice. And he's not too bad with shield maidens, either. ;) Very nicely done! Author Reply: Thank you, Inkling! I can't help, I think this scene is intensely erotic. | Dear Cuthalion, I haven't seen the extended edition of Two Towers, but you really bring that scene to life. You have such a poetic way with words (yes, I know I've said it before!). Are you going to write more about Eowyn someday? It seems to me you have a very good eye for her. Love, Lia Author Reply: You have never seen that? | Hey Cuthalion, What a lovely story you've written. I too enjoyed that scence from the TT and your portrayal of Eowyn is great. I always wondered what she thought about the events happening around her, especially being a women. Hope you write more from her point of view soon. | What lovely images! And he speaks elvish... soft syllables, shining in the dim light of the stables like pearls on a chain, a singing murmur, a tender caress, made of words. You've captured this scene beautifully. Author Reply: Thank you, Janet... you know, this moment when he caresses the horse, murmuring softly with thal low, extraordinary voice (and I am addicted to good voices!)... this is simply a great moment. I simply had to write it. | |
