| Ah, lovely! I was on my way over to the Challenge to read a few stories, when I noticed some of them popping up here. And since I'm already signed in here... I like all the little details you put in to make the reader feel at home in the story. Bilbo is very good with children, isn't he? And I've noticed how children delight in hearing their birth stories, again and again. Nice meeting between Pearl and her little brother, and the conversation with Frodo afterwards. Author Reply: Oh, yes! Bilbo is indeed wonderful with children. All of the little Tooks, Brandybucks, and Frodo enjoy hearing him tell spin a yarn or sing songs. I'm glad you liked the interaction between Pearl and Frodo as well as Pearl's meeting Pippin for the very first time. That entire part was so easy to write, it practically wrote itself!
