| I love the imagery and the feelings evoked, but cannot fully place the characters or at least not the situation. Interesting. Author Reply: Thank you for all your comments, Larner. I actually was imagining Legolas and Gimli, in a Fourth Age setting in an unknown conflict. But I purposely made it ambiguous because I wanted the focus on just what you focused on! And if someone imagined someone else as the speaker, that's well and good. | |
