Anything but fair, not that this Denethor would be so. But an excellent view of what would have occurred in movieverse had we seen this section!

O my. (I got to read further than I thought I would!) Very well done. I was glad to see Beregond, my favourite of Men in LOTR, and not even in the movie, though I heard a long time ago that there was an actor hired to play Beregond. Perhaps he ended on the cutting-room floor. In any event, very realistically written. I always wondered what happened to the guard(s) on duty when that beacon was lit. I wonder if he'll be let out of prison to fight in the battle. He's supposed to be held for fourteen days... that's well after the siege ends and the army marches to the Black Gate. Somehow I am hoping that after Denethor's death his latest decisions will be put under critical review and possible revision. (Will Pippin, perhaps, speak for the guardsman when he finds out what his actions precipitated?)

Am interrupted halfway through, or maybe less. I only got as far as: “Oh yes, it was only a short bout. Lasted for a few days, then he was right as rain.” Bergil handed him a bowl that was about a third full of grapes. And since you said you welcome concrit... I think you mean "Beregond" here rather than "Bergil". (I do that all the time, mix up names of people, especially when they start with the same letter or two.) Author Reply: Ah, thanks! I just changed it. I do that a lot- that was the one I missed when I was editing.

I enjoyed this very much and definately want to hear more. It is very plausable in the movie-verse. I am glad that he managed to save Beregond though!

Oh my! This is quite good! I don't normally care for movie-verse, but I like this. Your OC Tarannon is wonderful, and I'm a sucker for Beregond anyway--it's nice that you got him in there, since he wasn't *in* the movie. I do hope poor Tarannon will be saved from his branding. Author Reply: I always liked Beregond. Whenever I write movie-verse in Gondor, I try to put him in. :) Thanks for reading!
