Ah...yet another gem in string of beautiful pearls! I loved the analogy of Pippin hugging his old friend...his old friend, indeed! Thank you for this ever-growing, exquisite "necklace". :-) Pippinfan Author Reply: Thank you for your kindnesses to me :-)

Yes--so right that Pippin's hands should lead the celebration--the hands of one of the heroes of Bywater and those of the next Thain, as well as one of the King's Companions. Author Reply: Well said, Larner, and thank you for reading and commenting :) Yes, Pippin needed to learn to lead, both in hard times and happy ones, and he did on the Quest.

I simply have to request more fiction from you more often! I dearly love this and I am so glad that you posted it here so that everyone can enjoy it! I love the hesitation and nervousness that Pippin experiences before playing again. I also found myself wondering who had brought the fiddle to the Green Dragon for him, thus encouraging him to play again. Let's face it, I just loved everything about this one. I consider it the perfect after-symphony story and I thank you again for writing it! Author Reply: You, m'dear GW, are most welcome. :) I read your wee wish for reading material and this popped into my head. I think both because of the symphony and because you had been so eager to hear me play; then I couldn't be there - though I'm no Pippin I assure you. LOL I'm so glad you like it!

Then the notes flowed. A year and more of homesickness and his hobbit heart’s love of the Shire echoed in every tone. Pippin’s music filled the heart of every hobbit in the Green Dragon on the old inn’s first night back in business. And in the heart of every one of us who enjoy the stories on this site! Author Reply: Thank you, harrowcat! That's an incredible compliment *blushing* Thank you for reading and even more for commenting on my stories.

I truly do love this tale! Pippin reflecting on the Journey he--and his hands took. From childhood, through danger and toils, and then back again...ready to use them to make music with his fiddle. Awesome. :-) Thank you for these wonderful pearls! Pippinfan Author Reply: Thank you and you are most welcome, Pippinfan. It is readers like you who keep me writing :)
