| Yes, Aragorn certainly has a plan, but I'm not sure that it is too wise, because it seems kind of obvious what he's going to do, unless the guards are like, really stupid. No, I don't think this plan will work exactly how Aragorn would want it to. The plan may work partially, but it would be too good to be true if the whole plan worked out (unless you're one of those writers who are always optomistic and make things always go right whenever there's a conflict). It would be very hard to get Treco to get to sleep while Aragorn was all ranting about we should do this, we should do that....it's so wied. And the three way situation between Ricard, Legolas, and Allaura. Well, it turns out that Allaura's inexperience with elves has cost her a lot. And Legolas is so absorbed and obsessed with the blue stone so greatly that I think that there will be no way to draw him out of its depths, whatever the elf is seeing. Well, the way your describing it was like Legolas would simply die if he did not get the sapphire stone. I feel sorry for Ricard because he married a woman who did not like him at all except on certain occasions in which she would use him to carry out her heinous plans. And since he did know his wife, he would of course know what she would do, though I would like to say that it won't be anything pleasant--only horror or drama or something else that is dark and mysterious. Well, now it turns out that Allaura is just another being who has no power at all if she did not have the sapphire. She may be immortal, but she might not be able to withstand things. Please update as soon as you can! Hershey's kisses and hugs, Lady Saruman Author Reply: Remember that the guards think Aragorn has probably been eaten by the dragon, or at least, flamed by him. They don't expect the two would be working together. If you know my work, you know I rarely have things so without a hitch. I don't like easy. My characters have to build - character. :o) Treco isn't sleeping. He's playing dead to lure all the guards into the room. They won't fear him, if they think he is dead. Allaura had certainly underestimated elves and this elf in particular. Getting Legolas free of his obsession is definitely going to be a challenge. He doesn't think he'll die without the stone, because he's determined he'll get it back. Ricard is a victim as surely as anyone ever was, but Allaura did have feelings for him when she married him. He just came second to her need to sustain her immortal life. What happens nect will indeed be unpleasant. The question is: for whom? | |

| you're leaving cliff hangers everywhere. So Ricard is her husband, I figured as much, since his tongue wasn't cut out he couldn't of been a guard and your description of him also seemed to fit of what you mentioned before. Good chapter. Author Reply: Now is it my fault that the chapters just happen to end at the point that turns them into cliffies? :o) Those were good ways to guess Ricard wasn't a guard. Thank you. | |

| The word is "piqued" rather than "peaked," btw. So, our lady has underestimated the strength of the floor of her dragon dungeon, the attraction the necklace holds for Elves, and the wiliness of Rangers. Only her husband remains predictable--for the moment, at least. Will be interested in seeing how the dragon playing possum works out. Bless Aragorn for his ability to think fairly rapidly in such circumstances. And the dragon wouldn't think of eating a Man, would he? Man poisoning? Hehehehe! Author Reply: Thanks for telling me about the mistake. It's funny, but I can spot those kinds of errors in other stories. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people write about the reigns of a bridle when they mean reins. I'm somewhat more blind to my own errors. :o) Yes, Allaura has done a lot of underestimating. It remains to be seen what price she pays for that. Where Ricard will fit in is also a mystery. Legolas is lucky to have a wily ranger as a friend. Aragorn will do anything to save that elf. Dragons won't eat just anything, bless them, otherwise the wily ranger may have been lunch, and that would have been that. | |

| Hmm... I wonder if Aragorn's plan is going to work, it might half work in so far as it get Legolas and him back together, but will it fully work I wonder? Or will Legolas not want to leave because he wants the necklace? A great chapter, as always. SilentEagle Author Reply: That's an interesting theory. I think Aragorn's plan could be considered a success if it gets him and Treco out of the dungeons. What happens after that will likely involve forming another plan or perhaps just winging it. Time will tell how Legolas will react, since the necklace is all he wants right now. Thank you. | |
