Yes, losing the Ring itself will tear a hole in his master. I'd guess the three are Frodo, Sam and Gollum going through the Dead Marshes, the two are the two faces of Gollum, and the ONE the fourth member of the group--the Ring itself. Author Reply: Thank you for reading! And for writing a review. It seems that "three" and "one" were pretty much a given for all who guessed, but that two was kind of a free for all. The title comes from my thought that this was "three drabbles through two eyes for one Ring." The idea was to write from Sam's perspective, and so I wrote one drabble for each, through Sam's eyes (his perspective), and yes, it is all for the Ring, isn't it? thanks again!

Three travelers, the pair of Frodo and Sam, and Gollum alone? Three people, though two concsiousnesses for Gollum? Three on the quest, two under (or nearly) the sway of the One Ring? Three worries, though two just for his master (external and internal threats)? Author Reply: Ah, you attempted the quiz! Brave soul. Very good guesses, you were nearly on the right track. The full title should read: Three drabbles through two eyes for one Ring That is: Three drabbles, one for each of the characters. Two eyes - that is, Sam's eyes, as the drabbles were all through Sam's perspective. One Ring - well, duh... ;-) Thanks for reading!
