Awwww! Dear, sweet Sam! It's love that gave him that strength, love and that native strength that those four didn't realise they had until it was most needed. God bless, Galadriel Author Reply: I enjoyed bringing out that theme in "Quarantined" -- that love gives us strength and courage when we need it most. Sam is Love. :D

" I do not believe we have even begun to witness what they are capable of". Again, beautiful! To me, I think that is the appeal of all of Tolkien's stories. Very often, the heroes are the ones we would most likely expect. ordinary people doing extrordinary things out of loyalty and love. I beliieve all of us would like to hope we could do that too. Yes, very enjoyable! Author Reply: ordinary people doing extrordinary things out of loyalty and love Isn't that just the best and most inspiring thing to read about? Truly, that is a major theme of LOTR.

""Then Sam will wake this day, as well," Aragorn chuckled quietly. "Of that I have no doubt."" Simply perfect! Thank you my dear *hugs* Author Reply: I'm so happy you enjoyed this. It's lovely to imagine Sam being shown such respect and affection. *hugs back*

But then Sam is half the size of Aragorn so perhaps the record should be adjusted accordingly. In which case Sam wins hands down! *g* And as a fan of Larner's 'brothers-of-the-heart' writings your Perhaps the blood of Númenor flows within these hobbits is very intriguing. I guess you could say I liked this a lot Shirebound, as always, not least the atmosphere that comes across in it. Author Reply: Yes, the record should be adjusted, indeed! *crowns Sam the reluctant winner* Thank you, harrowcat. Oooh, I didn't think of the Larner-connection. I like that. :D

"I do not believe we have even begun to witness that of which they are capable." Right he is! Hobbits are remarkable, especially our four heroes. But five days without sleep? Wow! That I call remarkable, too! Author Reply: Right he is! And that's why we'll be writing fanfic for years and years to come. I hope Aragorn got a *few* hours' here and there! If you can't snooze in Rivendell, I don't know where you can. :D Author Reply: Ooops, I meant to say, a 'a few hours sleep'. *sigh* I think I need more sleep, too!
