That was cute! And I'm finally catching up - unless you have a slew of these things in hiding! Author Reply: I'm catching up with your reviews too! For some reason I didn't get alerts for the last few. Amongst the darker, angsty drabbles, I like to write a few light-hearted ones. When I read the prompt for this, I could immediately see Elrohir hanging onto that branch!

So cute! I like the joke about the twins' showing Estel "how its' done", but the image that lingers for me is of Elrohir hanging by one hand, unperturbed, probably bobbing slowly up and down after saving himself from the fall. LOL! ~TF Author Reply: The same image was in my mind as I wrote this. Unperturbed? Well, Elrohir may be, but the other two aren't! That fall could have resulted in a very long drop.

Hehehe!! I bet Estel had a lot of these moments with those two as older brothers. This was great! Author Reply: The twins try to show Estel the right way to do things - but sometimes Elrohir's enthusiasm gets the better of him :>)

I bet that is the last time Estel lets either of the twins show him how to fly a kite. Good thing they were better at showing him how to other things, most likely why he trusted them with the kite. Author Reply: I think the twins would have taught their little brother many things - sensibly and reliably most of the time. But even they're not perfect, which is another good thing for him to learn!

Poor Elrohir! Doubly in the dog-house - and he was only doing his best. Author Reply: *LOL!* Can't you just hear it? 'Give me the kite, Estel - I'll show you how to fly it really high.' Poor Estel. Poor Elrohir. And poor Elladan - he has to watch as his twin nearly breaks his neck!

lol I could just picture this as I was reading. I love the interaction between Estel and the twins. Typical little brother reaction to a big brother's "advice" not even they can do everything right. I wonder what his reaction would have been if Elrohir *had* lost his kite? Author Reply: What would his reaction have been if Elrohir had fallen out of the tree? I hope he'd have been more sympathetic and grateful then! But he's got to put up with two older brothers (much, much, older) giving him advice :)

According to plan? Hehehehehehe! Sounds as if Elrohir almost broke more than the kite and a tree branch here. Lovely moment between Estel and his brothers. Author Reply: Yes, Elrohir was lucky he didn't do himself rather a lot of damage! It was a long way to the ground. Estel wasn't impressed by his heroics, though.

*giggle* Ungratefully, indeed! But what will one expect - older brothers tend always to know *everything* better. Poor Estel had to put up with *two* of the sort, and nearly three thousand years older at that - it must've been rather exasperating at times. No wonder he snapped after nearly losing his kite. Author Reply: Well - why should Estel be grateful when it was Elrohir's fault that the kite got stuck up the tree in the first place? If he hadn't been showing Estel 'how to do it right', it would never have happened!
