| I have my own suspicions, of course. Definitely an AU story here, I see, as Dain died and was succeeded by Thorin Ironhelm (IIRC, of course). I like your view of the Wainriders; I pictured them a bit differently, of course; but yours are very interesting. Mine came out as proto-Mongols, who lived in yurts built on wagons and often took their women and children with them along with their homes as they went on campaigns. Author Reply: It's AU but not in that direction. Gimli has had no news from home and doesn't know of Dain's death when he speaks to Aragorn. However I see I do have a reference to Dain after Gimli returns from the Mountain and have corrected it. Thanks for pointing it out :D | |
