| How interesting. And how sad. :( I still think the boy is Aragorn's biological son. Perhaps the woman found out about Aragorn's destiny only after she became pregnant. I think that either she was horrified by the idea of herself and her child getting involved in all that or she considered herself unsuitable to be part of it (because of a lack of education or whatever). Aragorn would understand her feelings since he wasn't overly thrilled with his heritage, either. Presumably the woman married Bregor later, with Aragorn's full understanding and support, and Bregor raised the boy. And presumably, Bregor died in some way that's related to his connection with Aragorn. Or perhaps not. I will wait and see. Author Reply: Well, I'm truly enjoying seeing your guesses as to what is happening and where I'm going with this story. As to who Bregor, the woman and the boy are, you should have some of those answers in the next chapter. Enjoy. | |

| It does sound as if there is a cousin here who was close to Aragorn, and for whose family he cares. Very solemn feel here. Author Reply: Thank you, I felt that their ritual at the grave would be a very solemn affair, and the tone should stay throughout the chapter. You'll find more about Bregor in the next chapter. | |
