| It is great to watch how the story is progressing. I love how you show that the strong connection of the twins is still there (Ellidan's ability to still feel some of his brothers feelings) - even though Elrohir is trying to shut everyone out. It's just a guess, but I bet "Roh" and "Lass" are going to help each other get over the loss of their nana's... Author Reply: Thank you for noticing. I do really enjoy writing about the bond shared by the twins, and it's a pleasure when readers notice and love it too. | |

| Elrond and Elladan will always be grateful to little Lass. Perhaps seeing the effects of grief in someone else will be the best thing for Elrohir - he seems most affected by the little one. I just loved the way the elfling referred to the twins as people he had learned about in his history lessons. That must be so disconcerting for them - I daresay they still think of themselves as little more than lads themselves. I'm looking forward to hearing more of little Lass's story. His family must be frantic at the moment - but at least he seems to be recovering physically. Author Reply: I can imagine the twins will be rather surprised to be confronted by people who know about them without having met them, especially one so young. But they are sons of Elrond and have performed great deeds, whether or not they think it is so. Elrohir in particular is very affected by how simple and complex little Elflings can be at the same time, so hopefully he will come out into the open again soon. | |

| as always a great chapter, I tried that ice cream, and you are right. The competion was a little closr, but not by much. I can't wait for your next update, I'm enjoying this as a start to the Easter Holiday. Thank you for taking the time to write uch a wonderful story! Happy Easter! | Love you're story so far. It's good to see Elrohir coming back to a more relaxed state. The way you write about the interaction of the twins is very accurate. Can't wait to find out just why te hell our elfling is trying to get to Aman without anyone of his people knowing just where he is. And not telling his full name just shows how stubborn he can be.... just like his ada ;) Author Reply: Thank you, Fire. | I'm enjoying this. I like to see Elrohir's slow emergence from his self-imposed shell of grief, and Elladan's patient attempts to coax him. Poor Legolas - why is he so desperate to reach the sea? Is he suffering from the Sea Longing already? Author Reply: Thanks, Jay. I hope that I have managed to handle as delicate an emotion as self-loathing and grief in a way that most people would find believable, as well as the love his familiy has for him. The next few chapters will reveal why Legolas is trying to go West, but no, he isn't suffering from the Sea Longing as yet. | |

| I am enjoying this very much - I won't waste loads of space spouting on about how I do think that "something" must have happened to Legolas as a elfling - how else can we account for his readiness to join the quest (dwarves notwithstanding!)? Thank you. Author Reply: No, I agree completely about Legolas needing a reason to have gone on the quest. Why else would he be chosen over a powerful Elflord like Glorfindel? | |

| I am still enjoying this. Another fine chapter. There is so much anger still n Elrohir. I have my suspicions as to who the elfling is, but I won't try to guess for fear I am wrong as I probably am, but anyway. I am looking forward to the next chapter! Author Reply: I don't think you're wrong, and the next chapter is almost ready for publication. Elrohir is still terribly angry, but it takes a long time to release all that emotion building up over so long a period. | |

| I really love your story,I am in the States and we have weird cloudy weather one minute and sun the next too,I hope the elfling will be alright althou I know who he is and probably why he seeks the sea, I think he will help Elrohir in the end. P.S. Have a nice Holiday!! Author Reply: At least spring seems to be here for the moment! The Elfling's identify is more or less obvious, but it's revealed here. I hope I have managed to make it believable that Elrohir and Elrond do not know who he is. | |
