| RESTORE peace? It doesn't sound like there has ever been peace in this village. At least the healer has the ability to be neutral but it must be awful to be the only woman left in the village. I don't suppose that these two lads are friends in spite of everything and have gone off together for an adventure? Author Reply: True, although there was an uneasy peace in the village, they have never really trusted each other, and are quick to anger. I think the healer feels worse about watching what the villagers do to each other than worrying about being the only woman left. Her duty as a healer demands that she stay and help where she can. As to the two boys, well you'll find out a little more about them in chapter four. | |
