| *sighs in mock annoyance* You know, I keep saying "this is my favourite chapter," but how can I ever settle on one favourite when each is better than the one before? *grins* I give up; I just adore the whole thing. Proud Papa indeed! It seems the Gamgee brood is flourishing under the hands of dear Sam and Rose as well or better than the garden of Bag End (or any plant, for that matter) flourishes under Sam's hands. Elanor courting and Fro with his eye on a lass! :) And it's so sweet that Frodo and Frodo-lad share the same favourite spot. And you know, the Gamgee children acting out adventures from the Red Book would be the ideal fluffy fic. *ahemhintahem* :) I've been and will continue to be enthralled by this whole series, but there's something about this part especially-an innocence that, in spite of sorrow and many trials, remains untouched, and a warmth that brings peace and content.
