Trust our Pippin to find a way of wangling food from an early age. Just hilarious! Author Reply: Everyone has to start somewhere, and Pippin is no exception! I'm so glad you enjoyed. Thank you! :)

It's no wonder that Pippin spent a fair amount of time being supervised by his cousins - and his sisters - and anyone else available. His poor mother must have been completely exhausted. Indomitable barely begins to describe him! Author Reply: Indomitable is a good word to describe Pippin! It certainly takes a lot of energy and effort to keep up with him :) Thanks for reading, Bodkin!

Oh my, did he really eat dust? On the other hand I can understand that something that looked so fluffy found its way into little Pippin's mouth! Tookish curiosity at it's best ;-) I loved the moment when Merry was teasing Frodo by using Frodo's own words: "He's teething," Merry supplied helpfully. "Babies do that." A sweet and funny little story, that I enjoyed very much! Author Reply: He did eat it! Just as my little cousin used to do... :) And as you say, it all has to do with that Tookish curiousity. I'm so glad you liked wee Merry here. He's so practical as an adult, that I figured he would be the same as a child, much to Frodo's chagrin. Thanks for reading, Andrea! :)

Eeeewwwww! The child has no tastebuds yet, obviously ;) So cute. I like how Merry was suprised at the small places Pip could fit :) Author Reply: Heehee! Well, I mentioned it in my lj but forgot to add it here, but one of my little cousins used to eat dust, and that is how I got the idea for this :) Thanks for reading, Pearl!
