I really like this! Your word choice is wonderful. Obviously, by now we expect elves to sing about moonlight and silver ;). But you also chose to say many things that are peculiar to JRRT: umbels, and 'wings of trees' and star-spray. I just wanted to add that 'diaphonous' is a cool word :) Really, the only word in the entire song that struck an odd note for me was 'sylphian,' and that is merely my own personal tastes. Well done! (Oh, and the Quenya is a wonderful idea - I'm sure Luthien would have rebelled against her father in that regard as well ;). (I wasn't looking at the poem while writing this review, so I apologize if I got a word wrong...)

What a beautiful poem--very elfy indeed and very lyrical. I really enjoyed the imagery in it.

That is incredibly beautiful, and I can most certainly imagine it coming from the pen of JRRT himself! Very lovely and evocative--it makes me want to go and look once more at BoLT myself! And the Quenya translation was a wonderful touch--I might like to try and put that to Tengwar, and try a calligraphy version of it. Hmm... Author Reply: Thank you so much for your kind review, Dreamflower! This is one of the first Tolkien-inspired poem I'd ever written, about four years ago. I just haven't got up enough courage to post it until now. I would love a tengwar version of it! That would be so beautiful. Nerdanel
