A nice moment between the two of them, and a needed one for Estel as he learns to accept he is human after all. Author Reply: Yes, Estel loved his elven family, but he needed to know that he could be proud of being human. Elrond helped him find the way to do just that.

"This world was diminished with his death. He loved you and your mother with all his heart, and he would have loved to see himself reflected in you as I do." What a gentle, loving scene. Author Reply: Thanks for the review. I felt that in this situation, Elrond would tell Estel a bit about his father, though obviously he avoided saying too much. Estel needed to know that while he was not like the family he knew, he was very much like his father.

Aw this is lovely Misty. And a very perceptive Elrond as we would expect. Author Reply: Thank you. I do love writing Elrond as the perceptive, loving father.
