umm, the bee - let's just say that my bottom throbbed in sympathy. Gimli does not seem to be particularly fond of annoying, pesky, noisy little animals - be it of the insect or the rodent variety! Why, many many thanks for the dedication, belated or not - but I don't deserve it at all: Faelwen has been there all the time, from 'Once Upon a Strongbow' onwards - not my fault at all! (That's for the Hamille fan club, to be on the safe side ;-) But I love him too, anyways! The new job: hmm, compared to the old one it's definitely paid less well, at least double the amount of work - but it's infinitely more interesting. And the boss is, umm, if he can be a little difficult, at least his work is just brilliant - definitely not a complete idiot. So, all in all I think I did very well. To change, I mean. I hope that all goes well for you too - and take care of your head! Your rodent Author Reply: Oh yes hahaha! I remember now! :-D As for Faelwen: oh yes I owe it to you, for you were the one who asked for it. (After the rodent, Hamille fans, lol!) Well, I'm glad you feel good about the change - wonderful. Hope it continues to be good.

Yes! Yes! Ahahaaah! So it's Faelwen, is it? Faelwen and Hamille, sitting in a tree-ee... Can I get to be brides-nutty-rodent-maid, can I, huh? I promise I'll even try to behave. I'm really very happy for him. Ah, you are so sweet, you have made my week. That should take his mind of the sea-longing! Of course, it needed nothing less to make him part from Legolas. That, and a command from his prince, however gentle. *pauses* Which means, of course, that he won't be there for the rest of the adventure. *tail drooping* Which is very sad. But of course, Legolas is right - it is only a big, ugly spider, after all. They will kill her, and get rid of the shadow host - won't they? ;-) No hitting Aragorn on the head on the way. :-) I liked that bee, by the way. Did she get thrown out, too? That felt, somehow, familiar. Ha, I get the title (quick as always, ain't I?): revelations about Saruman, and about Legolas dream to Aragorn. But for me, there is another big revelation, about Faelwen! I bet you had that in mind, too! BIG fluffy thanks and hugs for this chapter from your rodent Author Reply: Oh, my dear rodent, I could kick myself!!! Graaaah!! Would you know: I CREATED FAELWEN AND PUT HER IN THE STORY FOR YOU, but I had to go and forget to dedicate it to you *mutter grumble, mutter grumble* - boink boink boink my own head. Well, I shall have to fix with a belated footnote, and another mention in the next chapter. (Though... there may be someone who will come after you for potentially ending Hamille's bachelorhood; he's gained a little following, lol! Just kidding!) Re the bee --- it seemed familiar? Thrown out? Afraid you lost me there (:-0 - maybe you'll explain if you'd like to? Anyway, you certainly 'got' the title, my friend. What it all means for them, however, remains to be seen. ;-) Thanks and hugs in turn for the review. :-) Legolass Author Reply: And how is your new job coming along? :-)

Mae Govannen Legolass, Ooooh Intrigue & suspense, I love it! 2 juicey chapters to read from my favorite author (I didn't get a chance to review the last one,so it's 10 lashes with a wet noodle for me), chocolate chip muffins for breakfast and no weekly orc session. Life is good! I'm glad Legolas has spoken his fears, I always believed keeping them to himself would hurt him. I think he feels to deeply to go it alone, he needs his friends (as we all do). One thing I like about your portrayal of your characters is that they all have different strengths that support each other. The hobbits (poor Merry, he means well) Hamille, Elhrohir and Elladan each bring their own assests. Aragorn sounds so lost and small, when he ask Legolas "to find him", it just about broke my heart. I did get a kick out of Legolas reminding Lanwil and Hamille that he's still the boss (however gently). Poor Hamille, what a dilemma. I don't know Legolass, I think the shadow host is up to some thing. Our dynamic duo has more than a giant spider to worry about. Lastly, Hugs & daisy for the kind words. Eliza Author Reply: Mae govannen, my friend, Yay! Glad it's been good for you - choc chip muffins and all (except for what you wrote in your private message). Enjoy it while it lasts! :-) I like that you recognise each character's strength, and yes! I love that Legolas reminds them who's boss when he really wants something to be adhered to. Thank you for noticing! As for Aragorn: I'm SO glad you felt sorry for him there. Didn't you just want to go and comfort him? I don't think he would have shown that vulnerable side to anyone but Arwen and Legolas, and maybe his brothers. After all, he is human. I will reply to your pm via emil but just let me say, Eliza, that there is no greater pleasure in writing these stories than in knowing that they mean enough to some people for them to share them with others. You and Silivren Tinu and Dunadan-von-Numenor (at ff. net) are among those who do that. What you wrote just in your pm made my day. Thank you. And I'm glad YOU are all right. Hugs, Legolass

The involvement of Sauraman makes this scarier than ever. "he could make a fine living as a stage performer!” Should this not read "could have made" as Sauraman is dead by this time? I loved Aragorn and Legolas' scene together when Legolas promised never to foresake his friend and Aragorn's decision still to wear the hair tie. I eagerly await more of this gripping story. Author Reply: Yes, that was a boo-boo, Linda; I had to change the whole sentence, in fact. Thanks for catching it! And thanks for continuing to read this. Glad the Aragorn-Legolas friendship scenes still meet with the approval of an Aragorn fan. :-) Legolass

I would welcome "the sound of fair elvish voices in the musical speech of the Firstborn", too. *SIGH* It's good to see Elrohir join them, the more elves, the better. ;-) Hm, Aragorn losing his memory for whatever reasons would be a hard blow, especially for all those close to him. It's just how I thought Aragorn would react to hearing about his friend's nightmare. :) I'm really starting to wonder what you are planning for the poor ranger/king. "if I am lost… you will find me?” - *sigh, purrrrr* I love all the trust and the love between them. :) Poor Aragorn, this would really be a dreadful fate, but it will be quite impossible for him to truly get lost while Legolas still lives. It was so sweet that Aragorn kept the cord! *purrrrrs* *clings to Hamille and tries to drag him back* No! I'm sure Legolas will need him! *pouts and watches Hamille ride off* I will miss him, I really like that elf. *sigh* I guess Legolas should better not get into trouble - I wouldn't want Gimli AND Hamille to be after me! *g* I really liked that bee! ;-) Hm, so Saruman had a hand in this, I would never have suspected that. It gives me a rather bad feeling. I wonder what he did to hinder Aragorn from releasing the Dead? There is a lot of dark foreboding in this chapter! Spells, nightmares and spiders... I guess Aragorn and Legolas are going to have a very nice time. :P Another wonderful chapter to purr over! ;-) I'm quite anxiously looking forward to the next one - I hope that spider is at least where it is supposed to be... Hugs, a purring Duckie :) Author Reply: Lol, I knew you would purr your little throat off, and that Hamille would find a pleading duckie attached to his leg. :D But his father is there; Legolas would be too good a host to keep Hamille away. After all, there are so many of them to face Shelob ..... right? "I wonder what he did to hinder Aragorn from releasing the Dead?" hmmm... what makes you think Saruman would hinder Aragorn from releasing them, huh? ;-) I'll the bee you buzzed over him, lol. Thanks and Hugs, Legolass

Hamille is leaving??! Now, call me silly, but that can't be good! Legolas is in better spirits but he may still need Hamille's unwavering support in the days to come.Hamille was so reluctant to leave, too. A burden shared is a burden halved and Legolas' confession to Elrohir then Aragorn about the dream was long overdue.Aragorn's shock was very understandable but he needed to be told.Aragorn's plea that Legolas not leave him if he became lost was just heartbreaking. Will Legolas' dream come true, will Aragorn deny him? There are so many possibilities! Of course, the conversation between Aragorn and Legolas was so moving and filled with sorrow, fear and brotherly love that I had to read it again and again. You write dialogue for Aragorn and Legolas so well. I don't like the threat Saruman left behing regarding Aragorn at all! What did he mean? What exactly are our heroes going to run in to and can Celeborn find a clue to help them? I can't wait for more, Legolass. I'm enjoying this story so much.Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Ali. Author Reply: Well, Linda, you're not the only one concerned about Hamille leaving. But after all, they're almost there and there's just Shelob left... right? :-) Glad you liked the exchange between Aragorn and Legolas; they mean a lot to each other. Yes, many questions to be answered in the coming chapters. See you then, and thank you very much for your support! Legolass
