| Gimli lightly rubbed the horse's forehead. "You're not so bad, I guess…for a demonic beast." That was a nice little story! Your portraying of gruff, yet gentle Gimli is wonderful! I think, Legolas would never have made a joke of this. But, hey, with Dwarves and Elves you never know ;-) Thank you, Misty! Author Reply: I think you're right about that. If Legolas had happened to witness this event, he would likely have kept the knowledge to himself. At least, in my version of things, he wouldn't tease Gimli about it. I'm glad you enjoyed it. | |

Author Reply: Yes, I think that since they share a common friend, they could make peace with each other. Gimli may never enjoy riding a horse, but at least he doesn't have such an enmity with Arod any more. :) | |

| What a wonderful little story. I know, as everyone does, that under all that gruff exterior, Gimli has a heart of gold. Rewarding Arod for saving Legolas was a thoughtful thing to do. I wish Legolas had seen the encounter. But I'm glad *we* did. Nicely done! Author Reply: Thanks. I can almost see Legolas standing in the corner, staying quiet and watching this happen.
