Hi Nell Marie I hope you get this review. Its a lovely story about family friends and protection one you all love. The understanding what you are going through. Off to explore more of your stories. Hope some day you will come back to writing some more stories. Who knows your muse might give that push. Love Galathil

Just ran across this, and loved it. So very poignant, and such a good look at the pull of both worlds on those who have lived in both. I think it very likely that mortality would have called quite loudly to the twins. Thanks for writing! :-)

Something I really love about fan fiction writing is the exploration of themes that Tolkien did not complete. I thought this was a beautiful and poignant look at the choices of the twins, and it said things I had not heard before. Their connection to Arathron, for example. Nice job! - Chathol-linn

This is AMAZING. I hope more of these vignettes come to you. That whole paragraph where Legolas speaks to Aragorn (beginning "So did the Lady tell me...") is perfection. You give us such an insightful and poignant glimpse into the heart and soul of everyone involved. I particularly loved: "But he saw nothing to alarm him, nor heard any sound to grieve him, for he was not of the First Born and the call was not for him." "Ties of blood bind tight, do they not? Yet family we have on iehter side of this divide, and our choosing is not between them."

This is the most wonderful vignette I've read in a while. It is filled with such understanding of the call the elven feel and the conflict that surely must have been in the hearts of the twins. I don't think I've ever seen anyone write about how the sea call must have affected them. I particularly liked the description of how mortal love changed them. This really tugged at the heartstings this morning, thank you for posting.

The line about the twins loving like mortals was astounding. It hit me as it never had before. I think thats the one I'm going to flick. :) The last para was a nice edition. Good work!
