Dream-fish, huh? And Lady Celebrian says it is a land of miracles! I'm glad to know that Frodo will be getting his heart's desire. He deserves a (long) period of happiness. Golden rings and fairy brides...
Author Reply: I've a feeling that pearl was a sort of pass-key to Frodo's dreams...which will have to sustain him until he no longer has the responsibility of looking after Bilbo. Then he'll find a little comforter and get all the happiness he deserves...too bad there won't be children of his own to round it out but yes, it's a land of miracles so there will be compensations perhaps! |
