Frodo - The King James Version  by DrummerWench 10 Review(s)
AntaneReviewed Chapter: 1 on 5/4/2008
Well, that's an interesting take on it and it really does sound like it came from the Bible, esp. the end when I heard Frodo's and Mary's voice at the Annunciation together. They are alike those two in some ways.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Thanks for commenting, Antane. And you're right, Frodo and Mary have much in common.

Oh yes, L.O.L.! Typical 'Bible speak'!
More please,

Yep, DrummerGirl, it's me ;). I recognized the thread you referred to, but I don't have the link, either! I don't recall if I contributed, but I did indeed comment ;). Wonderful to see you here, and glad to see you're sharing this gem with a new audience.

LOL! that was quite amazing. I'm surprised with how easily Frodo's story fits into this style. Either that or you make it _look_ easy. It feels entirely natural and right. Well done! (and yes, more would be good ;-))

Well, I think I have a good ear for this antique kind of language. I certainly notice (and get annoyed ;) ) when others get it wrong.

If I get the inspiration again, maybe I'll give it another go. Though I'm not sure how well the rest of the story would work being recast in a Biblical mode ...

Very nicely done! You captured the style beautifully :). Thank you for sharing this here.

Author Reply: Hi, MithLuin!
I assume this is the same MithLuin who posts at TORC? You contributed to the thread in question, as well, no? I can't find it, now, so can't check.
Thanks for your comments,

ohmygosh! That was PRICELESS! DW, you have a future here! LOL I think you should write various parts of the Book of Pippin, Samwise, Boromir, Faramir, Eomer and Eowyn... of course the list goes on and on. What a precious gem of a story. With your permission, I'd like to send it to some family and friends with all proper credits and such.

I absolutely LOVE it! The Book of Frodo.. hee hee! ;)

Thanks for your comments! I'm flattered that you want to share it. I'd really rather that you just send the link to the story, though. That way, people might read not just my stories, but other Stories of Arda. And I'm worried that it might get mangled and unattributed, ultimately, in the endless email forwarding.
I'm OK with you printing it out, though. :)
