Oh, yipe, yipe, yipe… For some reason I keep totally blanking on when you updated last, and then suddenly realizing that I haven’t reviewed yet. LOL, preparation a graduation party at the same time the kitchen (which just happens to also be our laundry room) is being remodeled certainly does keep life interesting… *rolls eyes* Oh yes! Hehe, I was afraid we might have to wait much longer for another scene between the twins and Eression. I’m SO happy to have things finally *really* sorted out between them! It’s interesting… By now, emotionally, Eression and the twins have actually switched places in many ways. Before, it was Eression who was trying to move on, wishing for a new relationship with them, and regretting his past actions terribly, and the twins for whom the events of the past were still too painfully fresh to move beyond, and whose emotions are paralyzing them. Now, it’s the twins who have gained perspective, who desperately want to forge a new relationship with him and mend the mistakes of the past, and Eression who has had the past painfully refreshed in his memory, and has despaired of ever being able to get beyond what happened so long ago. LOL, and how’s that for a couple of run-on, convoluted sentences… But the point is, I’m so very happy to have them finally friends! And Elrohir there at the end… //"You can call him ‘Elladan‘,"// *laughs* Yup, the twins are definitely back full-force. LOL! Oh yes, I’m sure the Gondorian army would just fall to pieces at the news that their king had gone and cooked his own supper. But - what?! Erynbenn accidentally blew up a pot?! *giggles madly* Now *there’s* quite the story. Let that be a lesson to you, boys and girls - when cooking in the vicinity of a wizard, first remove all unfamiliar objects from the vicinity. Then check all familiar ones very carefully before using. Strange, black, exploding powder, eh? Well, I suppose gunpowder would give spicy soup a certain… bang. *snorts* Just gotta love that male bonding around the campfire… And that whole conversation is just *hilarious*! Ergh. Yeah, how’s that for frustrating - Ooo, look, we’ve got lots of information on the enemy, and all kinds of co-ordinates for their planned troop movements! We could be invincible! With all this information, there’s no possible way we could lose, even if we only had half-way decent leadership! Now if only we had a map as well, so we could actually *use* some of this information! *sighs* There’s always a catch somewhere, isn’t there? Gah, yeah, that’s just like Aragorn, too, “blaming himself for deaths that hadn’t occurred yet”. Not only gotta feel bad for what *has* happened, he’s also got to feel bad over what *might have* happened, what *is* happening, and what *might* possibly happen in the future… Kinda like the Mirror of Galadriel, with built in guilt complex. *blinks* Oookay… Do me a favor and blame that one on overtiredness, will you? :-P “Her Highness the Demented." *attempts to look stern* Now Aragorn, great kings and warriors fight with honor and chivalry. Let’s not stoop to giving demeaning nicknames to our opponents, shall we? Really, hardly behavior befitting a gentleman… Quite accurate, though, for all that. *giggles* //"We didn't say she was stupid," Aragorn corrected him, "we only said she was unhinged." "I cannot begin to tell you how relieved I am." "The euphoria never lasts long,"// Hehe! *shakes head* These guys have waaaay too much experience in this department. //"Interesting? Meaning things have not been interesting up until now. What did you call the winter the wolves settled in Fornost, or the battle against the Nwelmai, or the troll raid on the Greenway, or the War of the Ring, for that matter?" "'Only to be expected.'" "That does it, I'm going to bed."// ROTFL! Too true. *nods* That Erynbenn, he’s a smart man. Catches on quickly. Of course, around Aragorn and Legolas, experience tends to be an exacting teacher - if you don’t catch on quickly, you’re dead. Well, to rather oddly echo Aragorn - I think that about does it for tonight, and I must be off to bed. Wonderful chapter - and definitely looking forward to more! - Cami P.S. So… I take it you all have seen POTC by now? Or… Maybe not, what with the unexpected early gift of little Ben (hehe, on which I must congratulate you once again! So exciting!). LOL, anyways… Have you seen it? Don’t want to spoil anything if you haven’t, but… *bounces* Author Reply: You are just in time! *grins* Actually, I'm about to be gone for a week, so we're both just in time -- I almost forgot to post this before I left! Not nice, not kind; no doubt the readers would have staged a revolt. *whew* Another bullet dodged! *grins* Remodeling, eh? Ah, you have my best wishes! We did the same thing a couple years back, and it was fascinating...ly disrupting. *wry smile* But worth it! Definitely worth it! Thank you ever so much for using your spare minutes to tell us what you think -- it really means a lot to us. *bounces* I am so pleased that you are pleased!! Does that make sense...? Believe me, it was every bit as much a relief for us to wrap things up as it was for you to read it. Elladan, Elrohir, and Eression were friends waiting to happen -- if only they could get over the whole orcs and captivity thing. *grins* That's an interesting and very excellent point about the role reversal! I suppose it ruins our mystique as authors to admit that we hadn't really thought of it that way before, but unintentional cleverness is not to be shunned! Thanks! *sheepish grin* *bounces s'more* Did it make you laugh? Really? Then I'm happy. Banter is, I think, my favorite sort of writing -- and I enjoyed this scene immensely! Oh, yes, I have a very vivid mental picture of what kind of a kick black powder can give to spicy soup! *rubs hands together* Confusing sentence duly blamed on over-tiredness! Though I don't think you need to worry about claiming it -- I thought it made perfect sense. *grin* Quite insightful, actually, indicating that more late-night writing is called for! Honor and chivalry, certainly, but a degree of humor and/or sarcasm is demanded unless the hero wishes to become a paranoid cynic. *grins* I loved hearing your favorite lines! Always makes my day! "Of course, around Aragorn and Legolas, experience tends to be an exacting teacher - if you don’t catch on quickly, you’re dead." *splorfs* Too true! Thanks so much for the review, Cami! See you in a week! Oh, and YES, we went to see POTC!!! And it was cool, great, and fantastic! Will was heroic (and then some), Elizabeth was sweet (and charmingly disheveled), and Jack was the peak of hilarity (as ever)! The new plot-line with Will's dad looks really promising -- I'm looking forward to seeing more of that. Favorite line goes to either: "I love those moments! I like to wave at them as they pass by." or "Look! An undead monkey!" And the only downers were (A) the fact that it ended on a cliffie, and (B) that poor Will still thinks Elizabeth kissed Jack for romantic reasons. *bounces along* Comments of your own? *grins*

I'm so glad I didn't miss an update! I just got back from camp two days ago and I was so afraid I wouldn't be able to review before the next one! I let out such a big sigh of relief when Elladan FINALLY forgave Eression! That was beautifully written. Hmm... black powder in the soup... That would be a fun one to try on a camping trip... *runs to get into Dad's black powder supply* Just kidding! *smirk* Cute little slam on Eowyn's cooking. It reminded me how much I need to get the extended version of TTT so I can laugh over those little gems. Its been so long since I've watch that one that my little sisters probably don't even remember that part! I already own ROTK and FOTR. Well, now, who would have given them that helpful bit of info about where the traps are hidden? Yay, Halda! That's my guess anyway. I'm torn between really wanting to read the ending and not wanting it to end! This story has been wonderful! I'm sooo glad I found it! Namarie, until next update! Author Reply: I'm so glad you didn't miss it too! We love reading your reviews! *grins* 'Through-the-roof-happy' is, I believe, the correct term to describe how pleased we are that the El/El/Eression conclusion suited everyone! Thank you so much! *eyes Dad's black powder supply dubiously* Uh-oh, the reviewer's armed and dangerous. *wink* Yes, the extended versions are great! We loved the scene with the stew -- it just seemed to fit that Eowyn, who was skilled in so many areas, had one thing that she just couldn't do. *grins* Not to mention the delight of seeing Aragorn spill food on himself! Ooh, Halda, eh? An interesting guess! *twiddles thumbs innocently* Thank you again so much for your feedback! More is en route!

haha, I love this sentence in particular: "I am not letting Erynbenn cook; he won't let me cook." So sweet. Eomer had become a far-seeing man. Congratulations!! (to tell the truth, I have NEVER regarded him as such.) I just wonder who copied "the records of the queen herself". Besides, there're a few typos in chapters 35 and 36. For instance: "Aragorn murmured, then to ERESSION: "It's not too late to find..." (chapter 36) "VARDNAUTH did release Legolas but had to step back quickly as the elf practically shoved past him in order to reach Aragorn." (chapter 35) (You really gave me a shock. I thought Vardnauth the Evil had risen from the dead!) "Hamadan was closest and he quickly found the key ring Vardnauth had in his possession and threw them to VARDNAUTH before going to help with Elladan. " (chapter 35) ""That is a very odd story," VARDNAUTH replied with a shake of his head, ¡°and one better told by another." (chapter 35) ""I'm afraid those names mean little to me." VARDNAUTH shrugged apologetically. "All your friends seem to be alive, but we must get you all out of here."" (chapter 35) Author Reply: *laughs* Glad you liked that line! And yes, Eomer is not an inherently far-seeing sort, but we thought it might have become an acquired trait after his uncle was so unceremoniously possessed by a 'harmless' neighbor. *grin* Sorry about the typos -- the computer says 'misspelled!' and you get so used to thinking 'no, it isn't!' that you stop paying close attention to whether it might not actually BE misspelled. *sheepish smile*
