| Oooooh! Good old Sam to the Rescue! Love his down-to-earth hobbit sense. Rosie has her own, too! This was just one more storm to bring the two lovebirds closer together. :-) The happiest days are just around the corner! | O I am in haste and cannot quote all the bits I want. Although Lanti thoroughly approved of her daughters’ actions, it really was not something to be presented as proper behavior to such a little lass. This was priceless! And then Rosie's wisdom, and what she said about love being sharing the load. That's worth stitching on a sampler! And Pippin's graphic portrayal of his despair, and Sam's solution. He and Rosie certainly are well-matched. (And then Pippin's crack about Sam being Thain as well as Mayor, and Merry's rejoinder!) VWD! Author Reply: Thank you, m'dear Lin! | I dearly love your Sam! He is my new hero. I want to know someone that knows the things Sam knows. He would have made a good Thain or a good Master but most of all he makes an excellent friend.
