Branding him! Don't make Faramir do that! He'll never be able to forgive himself for that. I thought it was a hopeful sign that Fontos was not there... maybe he isn't really a bad man. Maybe there could be another one on Faramir's side, even if he doesn't know it yet. Sob, sob. Both our heroes are in the abyss now. Only Aragorn thinks he's been completely betrayed by Faramir, and Faramir's in no position to tell him otherwise. Painfully riveting chapter.
