| This was really beautiful. It must have been so very hard for Erestor. I felt so sorry for him in this with his silenbt suffering and his quietly rejecting the comfort that wanted to come to him. I'm glad that he was finally reunited with his family. You gave Erestor such amazing depth of character where so many Erestors are very one dimensional. Yours was very clearly three dimensional. Nicely done. If life hadn't gotten better for him soon, I would have had to take him home with me and that would have been difficult to explain to my husband. Thanks for the happy ending! Author Reply: Thanks Ellie!! Wow, I think I just stopped bouncing around when I read this review. This story started out on a single thought. What if Erestor, chief of Elrond counsillors would meat Maglor, once the foster of Elrond. What would they have to say to each other? And suddenly it dawned on me, combined with every canon fact I knew about him, the story started to tell itself to me. And yes, I did had the same feeling too. At a certain point I felt so sorry for Erestor, but I tell you: he wanted it this way. Thanks for your amazing review Ellie! | |

| I have been looking for a piece concerning Erestor for a while & only found one or two, until this one. This is a great piece, thank you for creating a history for him... ( shhh - don't tell Legolas I have interest in another Elf ^__^) Author Reply: I won't tell Legolas, I promise! Creating a history for Erestor is a challenge since the Professor never gave away too much information about him. What I did found I weaved into this short story.
