I needed a "pick me up" and came back to frolic with the hobbits and their puppies! *happy* Any plans for a chapter 3, where the pups help cheer up the wounded Men? :D Author Reply: Thanks, dear! I'm so glad this story can still serve as a "pick me up." :D As for chapter 3, I'd love to have something ready for a certain upcoming birthday if time and inspiration allow me! :D

Very sweet.Trust the Hobbits to name the puppies after food ! Author Reply: Thanks very much! Hobbits think with their stomachs so I tried to think of golden-colored foods that they could have named their puppies after :)

Oh...These two little stories are so delightfully comforting, adorable and just so fluffy!! Faramir sent a very, very wise gift, but I doubt even he realized just *how* much good those golden bundles of mischief and love would do. And leave it to hobbits to name their pups after food....LOL!! This really was a delightful and lovely surprise to find last night. More please!! More!! :o) Author Reply: Thank you SO much! I'm very happy that you thought the stories were comforting, that is exactly what I'd hoped for! You're right, I don't think Faramir realized just how important those puppies would turn out to be. He picked four very special ones! I have some ideas for more "puppy stories" and I hope to write them soon. Thank you! :)

Ooh, puppies as healers - oh yes! Puppies as personal trainers to get your fitness back - oh yes!And what wonderful names for them! Lovely to see this through Pippin's eyes. Author Reply: Thanks, harrowcat! That was something I wanted to see, the puppies encouraging the hobbits to push themselves to full recovery, and also being there to comfort them when there were difficult days. I'm so glad you liked the names, believe it or not they took a while for me to think of! I tend to see things through Pippin's eyes, so I'm delighted you liked that as well :)

“Merry tells me that Biscuit even keeps his arm warm at night.” Very nice update :) After reading chapter 1 again, I realised that those cute little puppies instinctively made themselves comfortable where their warmth and comfort was needed the most. For Merry this would be: in the crook of his arm! Just wonderful! Author Reply: Thank you, Andrea! I'm so delighted that you noticed that about the puppies! I wanted to show how the puppies would heal the hobbits right from the start, and that somehow Merry's would know just where he was hurting most, and soothe him. I'm so happy you enjoyed! :D

Their conversation was interrupted by insistent barking, followed by a peal of laughter. They peered ahead, watching the puppies frolicking in the grass, tails wagging as they competed for the hobbits’ attention. It was the sight of four happy hobbits, however, that made Gandalf and Aragorn laugh. Picture-perfect as a postcard, Slightly Tookish! You've also got me craving to run out and find a puppy of my own to cuddle :D Author Reply: I thought the hobbits needed puppies to cuddle and comfort them as they healed. I'm so glad you enjoyed. Thank you! :)
