| This was incredibly heartbreaking. Poor Thranduil being given a chance to say farewell to one who he loved as a father when he could not to the one who was his beloved father. The death scene we were spared before, instead is amplified for not having happened. Will this encounter remind the new king that he was the capable son of two great elves? Or will this loss compound his feelings of inadequacy? I am only a reader and I am finding it hard to take. | |
