From The Journal of Meriadoc Brandybuck  by Grey Wonderer 3 Review(s)
DreamflowerReviewed Chapter: Prologue on 12/12/2006
*grin*

I love this "Prologue", LOL! Good old Merry--yes, I would bet Rosamunda picked it out--or maybe it was meant for Frodo in the first place! LOL!

But trust Merry to be impressed with how it looks sitting on his desk! *giggle*

Author Reply: Merry has very good taste. LOL He may not plan to write anything but he doesn't mind if others think he is writing. Some days I feel the same way. I could see Rosamunda being the kind who would do Freddy's shopping for him so that he would have the proper gifts to give. Glad you agree.

Hah! You got me. I saw a 'prologue' and having no time to read clicked to leave my usual prologue review (adding the story to my list of want-to-reads) and there was not only the usual note but text as well, you cruel thing.

At least it was only a little text, and so I was able to spare some time--forego brewing my usual morning cup to read and not worry about people breathing down my neck moaning about "being late". Will have to buy coffee on the way to dropping dh at work, I suppose. *sigh* The sacrifices one must make for art!

Author Reply: I am cruel, aren't I? Hey, this time I had to set things up a bit. You could have stopped after the disclaimer and put the rest of the prologue on your list too. I do hope you got your coffee. I'm not that cruel. LOL

Perhaps it was indeed intended originally for Frodo, but mislabeled. And love that Pippin drew a lumpy sheep and apple. Yes, quite the object to tease sensitive younger cousins with when they grow older. Wonderful.

Author Reply: It probably was supposed to be for Frodo and he would have known exactly what to do with it. No sheep or apples and certainly no putting it on display. LOL I think someone needs to buy Pippin some art paper for his lumpy sheep.
